The fundamental flaw of top lane Posted: 22 Feb 2020 02:21 AM PST This game has a fundamental flaw, something I only realized after my last game. This is my story: Champion select kicks in. I am top and first pick. I lock Sett because I am no one's bitch. It's the enemy's team turn - they pick Darius... the fuck is he thinking? I leave the room and go to the kitchen, that is my first sign of disrespect. Do I care the game kicks in and I miss the first 2 minion waves? That's the second sign of disrespect, and that gold is worth nothing compared to Darius spamming "enemy missing" pings and face-checking every bush for the next 10 minutes. I get to lane and see he is already level 3. He stands confident in the middle of my wave Q'ing the shit out of my minions. I feel sad for them but also a bit disappointed they can't take this little Noxian bitch on their own, so I have to engage him and we have a couple of trades. He is getting closer to my tower, just on the edge of tower aggro, and I can smell his thirst for blood building up because I am already at 25% health. I level up my W and bait his apprehend. He falls for it and my tower starts blasting his face. He is now also getting low but 2 AA away from killing me, so he stays there taking all the shots like a champ. Fuck this is intense. I look at him right in the eyes just before he lands his final AA. I activate my W. Suddenly, Darius flashes to the side and gets ready to Q me from afar. I am about to flash in to get hit only by his axe handle and punch his face to death when suddenly a notification pops up TOP-MIDDLE OF OUR SCREENS about some other guy killing someone somewhere else. I forget to flash and he forgets to Q, we are super confused. The notification is still there like an online casino pop up. Our minions are looking at us awkwardly and moving their weapons mid air without hitting each other cuz they wonder if this means peace forever or something. Then, out of nowhere, an Elise and an Ekko emerge from the river and start fighting next to us and spamming the "assist" ping non-stop for the 2 seconds it takes the elise to one-shot the ekko. We don't move because we don't know who the fuck these people are. Elise stays there for a while looking at us wondering what the fuck we doing and then just leaves because apparently she has some pending beef with the scuttle crab, and just 5 minutes later another casino pop up tells us that some random guy called Talon has disconnected.... ????? Posted: 22 Feb 2020 01:54 AM PST We're about to hit the 1000 day marker for a play-breaking bug that's racked up a nice tower-dive kill count. When Kayn uses his R while taking a tower shot, the tower bullet is supposed to fizzle out, like all other mid-air projectiles on their way to a target that becomes untargetable. Here's a clear video of it Note: Rhaast did NOT have Death's Dance, and was fighting a Vayne with 0 DoT effects. He was NOT in the entering mist animation, the scythe has already shown over Vayne's head. Vayne's auto-attacks do NOT deal 320 damage to Rhaast in this situation, you can compare her autos to the ones taken in the same video. Only her W - Silver Bolts are chunking him. Rhaast did NOT have the 2 stacks required for Vayne's auto to procc. Even assuming the last 2 points are false, champion auto attacks are supposed to fizzle on R activation as well. The tower shot CURVED towards Vayne after Rhaast entered her. Something hit Rhaast for 320 damage at the exact moment the tower bullet connected to Vayne, there's no other source of damage that could explain it. Umbral Trespass TARGET RANGE: 550 COST: 100 MANA COOLDOWN: 120 / 100 / 80 PASSIVE: Kayn marks enemy champions he damaged in the last 3.15 seconds. I thought it was dope, so I revived it in 2013. Seven years later, it feels like a good time to update it again, yeah? Here's my last thread, which includes a link to the last GZ thread as well.
