Stating that FLY is predictable and always just does the "right" thing and C9 knew exactly what FLY wanted to do. The irony is that: 1. C9 did not prepare or adapt to the lvl 1 invade. 2. POE surprises C9 with the LB assassin pick. 3. C9 not expecting the Lilia pick 4. C9 having ZERO flexibility in draft. Team LiquidAfter Spring many were wondering just what happened to this team as they had been dominating the LCS for 4 straight championships. With Doublelift's departure no one was sure what to expect. By the end of Fnatic vs the winner of S04 vs SK, there are 4 teams left, those being the 4 teams auto-qualified into worlds. Because of the fact that in this situation where Fnatic lost their first Bo5, G2 and Mad Lions automatically cannot place lower than 4th. While if Fnatic won and G2 loses, Fnatic and Mad Lions would auto-qualify for worlds, or if Rouge and Mad Lions lost, Fnatic and G2 auto-qualify for worlds. | Now that Viktor is getting a VFX update, it's time to give him a visual indicator on his W Posted: 21 Aug 2020 08:24 AM PDT For those who don't know, the way Viktor's W stun works isn't exactly DIRECTLY bound to duration stayed in the AoE, instead, it works by giving stacks to the afflicted entities every 0.5s, up to 3 where the stun occurs. This is why fast characters leaving the effect but immediatly going back in might get instantly stunned (due to the stacks persisting a very short duration), while some slower ones might avoid getting stunned at all if they strafe on the edge with a better timing (due to the stacks expiring after mentionned duration, or simply avoiding getting any stacks given their hard-set duration condition). If someone or something does NOT stay long enough for a stack to proc, it simply doesn't happen, this behavior creates a lot of ambiguous situation both playing him and playing against him, due to how most duration-based abilities do not behave like this and how abilities using stacking mechanics have a clear dedicated VISUAL INDICATOR. This part of the mechanic is very obscure to most since Viktor's W had a lot of clarity issues for forever now, both in its actual hitbox and in its effect's innerworkings (AKA why am I getting stunned or why am I not getting stunned in X situation?), but recently Viktor has been confirmed to get a VFX update and, from what it seems, an objective of this is to make the edge of his W clearer than it was before with its weird non-unified blob, making one of the two issues "fixed", but leaving the other. From a certain view point, Viktor's W is the same as Braum's passive in its effect and innerworkings, the only difference being the causation, with Viktor's being way more unclear (duration-based auto-stacking on an unclear AoE VS simple auto-attack counter). Therefore, Viktor's W does need a visual indicator clear enough to understand what's actually going on, just like literally any important stacking debuff in the game, and he has been needing it for a long time now and should keep it as long as his W works this way. The VFX update helps a lot clarifying his precedently massively unclear AoE hitboxes, but it should also at least inspire the thought of finally fixing one of League's most unclear abilities as a whole.
