    I can’t rank up as a support

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 04:10 AM PDT

Hi, I'm currently D4, but I'm not playing rankeds because I'm too afraid that I am gonna demote and not be able to climb back. When I was tryharding this season I have reached D3, but I demoted and stopped playing. I don't what to focus on in game. Would watching streamers help or should I just play more and not be afraid of demotion?

    Laning vs Lane bully

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 02:28 AM PDT

Hey! I'm currently close to getting to Gold IV by mainly playing toplane, my champ pool is Mordekaiser, Shen, Yorick and Aatrox before the nerfs. I struggle vs lane bullies like rumble, teemo, Garen, Gnar and find it hard to survive laning phase. I don't trade when the wave is pulling, i try to get exp and barely farm, I keep on losing laning phase...

What are the fundementals I might be missing?

    Tips for playing ADC solo?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 03:02 PM PDT

Hi guys I have a few questions about playing ADC solo as well as just looking for general tips.

    1. What do I do with autofilled supports? Should I be dodging truly troll support picks (Yasuo, etc.) or will I be losing too much LP?

    2. How to play lane with an autofilled or bad support? Most of the time I even fall far behind in farm because I can't safely approach the wave and even under tower I'm constantly under threat of being dove.

    3. Is solo climbing very viable anymore? I'm returning to the role after an extended break from the game and playing ADC feels hard!

And general ADC tips and tips for someone trying to grind solo are appreciated. Especially if there are any ADC players who managed to climb solo this season I would like to know your process and champ picks. Thanks!

Where to put my fingers while playing league?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 11:59 AM PDT

Since I used to play only FPS games, I always have the habit of keeping my middle finger on W, and my reasoning is "I dont have to use R often, therefore I'll just move my index finger to it when I need to". But by doing so sometimes I misclick (Emote when trying to ult or ult when trying to emote) and I think it's because of my bad habits from FPS games. But when I try using my pinkie to Q it's always uncomfortable because I'm used to it being lower on the keyboard, and for some reason I feel like I hesitate a lot when using my pinkie to Q. What should I do?

    Thresh itemization?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 01:20 PM PDT

How do you build thresh as a tank vs choosing items like Redemtion or Righteous Glory? I was in a game with a Varus and couldn't decide between thornmail or frozen heart. I had redemtion, ninja tanks, and my coin item fully upgraded. Am I building him wrong? I assume most of this can be solved with common sense but I guess that goes to show I don't have enough of it. Thanks for the help!

As a mid-laner am I obligated to let my ADC have all of my farm whenever they come mid?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 08:52 AM PDT

I'm in Gold, and in every game that my ADC comes mid they seem to feel entitled to take all of the mid-lane farm regardless of how ahead they are or how behind I am. Am I obligated to let them take it? If so, why? And are there any exceptions to this rule? I understand that ADC builds are expensive, but my mage build isn't exactly cheap either.

    Top lane questions

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 06:09 AM PDT

So I am not sure if anyone remembers me, I was the brain damaged/learning problem support main who was wanting to learn adc. I just dislike supporting now, I literally hate it....so my time as adc was a horrid experience...the constant harassment from all directions while trying to cs and position correctly I just couldn't get it... so I went to top lane. I really love it so far i am playing: Jhin, Ryze, Garen, and Heimerdinger. I fell in love with Jhin when I went adc and I see that people sometimes play vayne or Quinn so I just brought him top 😂. My questions are:

    1. What am I supposed to do as a top laner when all other lanes have lost and my tower and the enemy top laner are still there?
    2. What am I to do when I'm pushed to tower and am constantly being killed and/or dived under tower when my jungler is busy helping other lanes and/or being counter jungled and is behind himself?
    3. What am I supposed to do when I won my lane and got the tower?
    4. How do you play vs Singed?? Like what do I do??? That champ... It just confuses me ... he throws me behind him and runs and by the time I think I'm okay I'm dead!!!

What is “lane priority”? And is there a way to use it effectively in solo queue?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 02:04 PM PDT

So I've been actively watching pro League since Worlds 2014 and I've always heard the term "lane priority" but could never really figure out what it meant. From the name alone it sounds like when the team focuses more resources like ganks and roams into that lane. Is this something exclusive to the pros because of their comms, or is this something that could be utilized in solo queue?

How to improve as ADC [GUIDE]

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 05:38 AM PDT

Hi guys , i have a guide for you , on how to improve as ADC.I was a Season 4 diamond jungler , and i started playing again as ADC in season 9 , i struggled alot but i managed to get Platinum 1 on EUW with just some simple tricks.

    1.Champion pool.

•Always check the meta , right now there are 2 ADC's that are great only because that you can mostly peel for yourself , and yes , they are Kai'Sa and Xayah.I suggest you to learn to play them , since if you can master them , you can have pretty solid games because they are very safe if you play them correctly. •Stick to a maximum of 4-5 champions. For example Xayah and Kai'Sa should be first picked , if they are banned or enemy took them , you need some other champs to replace them , and i think it's worth to master a maximum of 5 ADC

    2.Playstyle.

•As an ADC you have to play really safe especially in soloq , where until high elo in most games nobody will peel for you , so you really need to play very safe and position depending on enemy teamcomp.Just think like this , the longer you survive the more damage you can inflict on enemy team.

    3.Cs'ing and wave managment.

•When i started , i could barelly make 6 cs per minute , now , in most of my games i make 9-11 cs per minute. You really need as much cs as possible , because that means you will have as much gold as you can , sometimes a kill is not worth if 3 waves will crash into your tower.

•Wave managment is very important. You need to freeze in some siuations : -If you are losing hard the lane -If the enemy bot can't 2v2 you and you want to deny cs -If it's risky to 2v2 or you don't have vision , flash/heal on cd or not knowing where the enemy jungler is. You have to push pr slow push in some situations: -The enemy bot is dead or recalled and you want to deny cs -You have vision on enemy jungler and you want some tower plates.

For more in depth guide of wave management and how to archice a bigger cs per minute , i recommend you to watch XFSN Saber guide.

    4.Mentality

To win more games and to get better you really need to stop tilting yourself , take breaks and see why you are getting killed.

•Stop tilting , you have to know that some games are not winnable , and flaming , or getting tilted for a game that cannot be won or a bad play is not worth.Think every game only on yourself , if you died in a fight it wasn't your teammates fault , it was yours , find what mistakes you made there , and try next time not to do it.Your top lane is going 0/10 in the first 15 minutes ? Don't tilt over that , and try to play as good as you can , you maybe can carry the game , the enemy will make a mistake , but if you start getting tilted over that , you might not think at playing better and you will play worse.

•Stop playing after 3-4 games , doesn't matter if you won them all , take a break for like 30-60 minutes. It's very helpfull becuse after that you will start to get fatigue. This works when you are tilted aswell.

•Stop autopiloting.Every time ask yourself where is the jungler , can i win this fight ? is it worth to get into that fight?Always be aware pf the enemy , and ask yourself questions about the game , it will help alot.

Thank you for reading , i really hope that it will help some of you.

    Adc player LF mechanical tips.

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 09:31 AM PDT

So I'm an adc player currently stuck in dia 4. I feel like I have a very good understanding of the game and macro really well. But I do sometimes lose some fights due to me lacking in mechanics. For example kiting, I focus waaaay too much on moving in-between basic attacks, so I lose focus on other fronts and may die a stupid death because I didn't notice the enemy assassin getting into position to kill me. Or I'll just miss a crucial skillshot because im still focusing on orb walking. What I personally feel like would be a big improvement is if I learn to do orb walking as a natural thing. I do it every game and have been doing so for a while, but it still just doesn't come natural to me. Is there any good tips for making it a habit ? Thank you

EDIT: maybe some different opinions on key binding for attack move ?

    How do I play ADC?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 04:12 AM PDT

I started playing soloQ yesterday, cause I have been playing normals for so long, and I thought that I could get my first rank, but anyway Im getting queued with golds. In every match i do lowest dmg, everyone says I should stop playing rankeds, Im ruining their games and I don't know basics of the game. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong, I don't affect game, I don't do dmg and Im pretty confused about it. I already played 5 placements and lost every match. Meaby I should switch to another line? Im mainly playing vayne and xayah.

    I Can't Win

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 03:02 PM PDT

So long story short, my last 20 games in my match history, I've won 4. This is from Sept.28 to today. I went from S1 to S4 in a longer span of time too.

As a support main who can't turn a game around too quickly or in a big way, like a high powered adc or grossly tanky top laner, I feel useless. As I lose more, my MMR also decreases and I feel like I'm getting stuck with people who have literally just started the game now.

Is it time I try a new lane and focus on learning to carry instead of playing my favorite role?

Do you join the discord channel invites from your teammates in champ select?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 03:52 PM PDT

Title. Sometimes I want to join, but I'm too shy to or I feel like I don't want to embarrass myself if I do badly. At the same time I want to have communication. I've always used voice chat in Overwatch, but I had confidence in my skill, I'm not so confident in league since play styles, situations, match ups vary so much more than overwatch. Has anyone joined them and what was your experience?

    Guys i really need help.

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 03:26 PM PDT

Hi people, i started to play this game on the end of season 6 on LAN server, always feel atracted by adc and jungle mostly the jungle (specially being adc without a duo supp sucks) i was able to climb to gold last season, maybe i could push more but i didnt even tried, i just reach gold 5 and leave the game.

This season i played just some games even 1 or 2 every patch, so the meta has changed a lot, the jungle has changed aswell, my game sens and my mechanics are pretty bad right now, i feel like a beginner.

I decide to leave LAN and come to NA server because LAN is toxic as hell and the level of the server doesnt motivate you to improve tbh, but im getting hard stomped, im level 12 btw on NA and like 110 in LAN (official level is 65 because i played mostly before they remove the level cap)

So i want advices, if you know a good guide for jungle and game sens, mechanics, good streamers, jungle clear and paths ( i tracked so well the junglers last 2 seasons and was so good taking objectives as drakes and the rift herald and have good kda) damn im even getting reckt by the jungle camps, cause im losing so much life, specially on the second clear ( weird no? my first clear is even healthier than the second with items xd).

https://lan.op.gg/summoner/userName=spitfire18 this is my lan account

    https://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=ryudark97 and na account

I would take any kind of help that you can throw me, with the riot aniversary i was watching it with a spanish streamer and it really motivates me to come back the game and i want to do it well and reach at least diamond in some point.

    Thanks for your atention.

P.D: grammar mistakes pls let me know, english not main language so even that helps me :)

    Morellonomicon good or bad?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 04:50 AM PDT

I've watched too much LS, and after watching too much, i have a question, is morello actually that bad? or is LS is just memeing around, is liandry's actually that much of a better buy than morello?

Although all of that, i still believe morello is a good item, but in what situation is it actually a good buy?

Made it to Platinum on both queues today. How can I make it to diamond next season?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 03:06 PM PDT

What's the difference between platinum and diamond? Should I focus on meta champions only? Are there champions that I can master and carry my way up? I was thinking Vayne.

Should I improve my micro or macro? I feel my macro is what carries me as I'm great at calls and optimizing objectives based on what enemies showed on the map. However I have a lot to learn in wave management so any resources on this are welcome.

Perhaps I could improve my micro. I feel like everytime I'm against a skilled Vayne or whatever I can never 1v1 but I perform really well in the back of teamfights.

I'm an adc main by the way, never duo honestly which might be a problem.

What must I improve on and most importantly, how? Should I watch any streamers? Follow any guides? Please specify how can I improve.

    My first ranked games

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 08:44 AM PDT

(sorry in advance if my English is not the best you have ever read) Hi, recently I started doing some ranked, I'm not very good and my goal when clicked "solo q" instead of normal blind pick was to improve my skills with players at my same level. I usually play top and so I'm doing in ranked. I'm at my fifth game now and as the previous I have terrible kda (things like 0-8-2 or 1-6-0) while in normal I usually win my lane or at least I don't feed too much the other toplaner. Now in these ranked games they always poke and harrass me and I can't do nothing, I'm "main"(mastery 5 lul) mordekaiser and even if I would like to answer and start a trade they would kill me anyway. Same with last game, pyke vs pantheon he just jumped on me and killed me, and same with olaf(me) vs udyr, he just dealt much more damage than me. With these constant pokes I can't concentrate in CS, and whenever I try to get the kart the enemy engages and kills me. What should I do in these situations? Some people in my team told me to do these first 10 matches then rank in an appropriate league. Some told me to train a lot with my main, but how? Thanks in advance for your answers, I would like to be better in lol but right now I don't know what to do. Thanks for all the answers, you made me feel a bit better about my weakness in these first games

How to be better at using your items?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 02:41 PM PDT

    Hello!

One of my biggest struggles right now is remembering to insert my item usage into a fight. Often times the enemy gets away barely, and I look down and I forgot to use that one item that could have swayed the battle in my favor. I keep doing this, and can't seem to get better at remembering to use them...

    Any tips?

For instance I've played a lot of Cass lately and keep forgetting to use my shield or stopwatch all together, and when I do remember, it's inevitable death situations. :P

    Thanks!

Is the mid lane lost if jungler doesn’t help?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 02:41 PM PDT

I'm a support main but started looking forward to learning mid bc i thought it was fun to play. In the first matches i learned how to farm and ven tho im better I still need to improve, but the in latest matches i had scenarios where i'm equal to the enemy in cs and kda but when the enemy jungler ganks repeatedly and my own jungler doesn't help, the lane it's instantly lost from there and the enemy gets fed. Am i doing something wrong to avoid junglers or my jungler should help me? Sorry for my english, not a native speaker

Finally hit Gold 4 where do I focus in improvement?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 02:41 PM PDT

This is my first season of playing ranked league and I was able to climb from bronze 3 to Gold 4 after like 600 plus games of ranked (the grind paid off lol). It took me awhile to reach this point because I juggled between maining top, supp and adc but was able to find much more success at adc position.

From here I want to know what specifically works better in gold elo and what to work on the most. I would like to think my laning phase is one of my stronger points but sometimes it feels that I cant transition my lead on bot to a win since jungle and top appear very coinflippy in my experience.

Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated!

    What does reporting do?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 02:38 PM PDT

So I have the worst luck with party members in solo queue and I usually end up reporting at least one person per five games (not a hard stat by any means, but that's the average I've come up with). What does reporting even do? Do they face any actual consequences for flaming and generally being toxic?

This website can translate MobaFire builds into clipboard imports for LoL!

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 08:20 AM PDT

The problem with guides online are that there either requries a client to be installed or manually added in.

Mobafire seems to have a lot of alternative builds to play with so this website comes in handy for me!

I hope it also helps other players on here.

    How to learn jungle?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 12:15 AM PDT

Hi all, I'm a player who's mainly done ARAMs and some norm games. However, I'm wanting to get back into norms so that way I can play with my friends and feel like I'm doing something good. However, every time I attempt to learn to jungle in-game, I just continuously get flamed. What would be the best way for me to learn jungle and not be as terrible as I am right now?
    Open to any suggestions. Thanks.
