I just released a beginner Jax Guide and am planning on doing this for every top laner

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 07:07 AM PDT

Hey guys. My production team is working on a new series that you guys may find useful. We are making beginner guides for at least these top laners: Jax, Renekton, Nasus, Kled, Darius, Gnar, Poppy, Gangplank, Ryze and Rumble. Releasing one every Saturday. They are designed as an intro video for my MobaFire guides, however they are also made to be a standalone video for beginners.

Anyways here is the Beginner Jax Guide. I am releasing these on my RTO Academy channel which is designed as a one stop place for all Educational Top Lane content which releases 3 times per week.

We are recording the Renekton one soon so I want to get some feedback on what we can do better for the future ones.

I`m really struggling in D4 all of a sudden, can any high rank players offer me some tips?

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 11:59 AM PDT

Hey guys. So, this season I decided to make a brand new account to level up and play with one of my friends. Once I got it to level 30, I decided hey, I`m gonna play ranked. I ended up getting this account into Diamond with a 69% (don't laugh) winrate. Ive now been stuck in diamond 4 for the last 140 ish games, and my winrates dropped to a 53%. To be quite honest, every game feels like a complete coinflip. I feel as if nothing I do as a player influences the outcome of my game. I win lane in just about every game I play, and use this to roam and help other lanes. But holy crap, my teams basically inted and given up before I even buy boots. I have now lost 5 games at 0 LP, I`m about to demote and quite honestly not sure what to do at this point to carry games in this rank. Here`s just some fun examples of games I deal with on a daily basis.

    https://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=lettucethegreat

I do well in lane (typically, not everyone can do amazing every game), I buy lots of control wards and make sure to keep my area completely warded, and I do what I can to roam when I see on opportunity. I have a friend to duo with but he rage quits fairly easily so I am pretty wary of duoing. Here`s a bit about me:

    - I main champs like Swain, Vel`koz, Neeko, and Lissandra. I used to play a lot of assassins like Qiyana but I find myself literally unable to ever carry a game on an assassin. Maybe I`m just bad at assassins, idk.

    - When I`m not playing a champ with a terrible early game like Swain, I tend to play rather aggressively, denying my lane opponent any CS I can and trying to push them out of lane and push the wave up so that I can keep map pressure

    - I believe what I`m having trouble with is transitioning my early lead in lane to the rest of my team before they`ve all pretty much given up for some reason

I don`t think it helps that many of the champs I play tend to not become powerful till later the game, but I could be wrong. Any input is appreciated, thanks guys!

How do you deal with Taric+yi funnel?

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 10:54 AM PDT

Currently d2, peaked GM this season, and still have no clue what the fuck I'm even supposed to do about Taric + yi. Everytime I get them in my lobbies, I forfiet jg cause they 2v8 no matter how bad I play, and when I'm against them, everybody just spams for somebody to dodge and if we don't they 2v8 against us.

Not sure why this is even allowed, is there some key counterplay to this strat that everyone is missing for it to be allowed for so long?

Positioning and priority of targets as an ADC

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 02:21 AM PDT

    Hi all,

As everybody can guess I'm an ADC and I find it sometimes difficult to choose how to prio targets especially mid to late game in team fights.

I get blamed by my team that I hit tank or what is at least in range for me and not going on a "mobile" Ez. Who stands behind two tanks and an off tank like Leona or Tresh.

The thing I see it, I better do damage to what's in front of me. If I go to much forward to reach the backline I get cc'ed and don't do any damage at all. I might die in 8/10 cases in cc-chain.

For advice I would be thankful.

How do I determine myself how to open a lane matchup?

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 03:03 PM PDT

I know from LS and Zen Coaching that it's really important to be able to decide whether or not you're going to push and how depending on the enemy laner. For example a lot of the time you're just going to be pushing for level 2 while trying to get an xp advantage, but in some matchups it's more complex. Like, for example, melee mids sometimes don't want to auto at all lvl 1.

I want to be able to look at the matchup and figure out for myself how I should be doing it. Maybe if this isn't possible I just need to go research the matchups? I am an Orianna main recently switched from ADC where the dynamic was a bit different.

    Laning against Nautilus?

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 10:12 AM PDT

As an ADC, how does one go about playing against nautilus in lane without giving up insane prio?

I never go magical boots into the matchup and tend to get pre10 boots but it never seems to be enough to dodge a hook, I know the window in which he's 'vulnerable' is when aftershock is down, but his damage seems so frontloaded in the hook-root that i can't trade back once the CC is gone.

I'm pretty garbage elo (plat 5), so I dont know if its just me, AFAIK he's incredibly strong in lane but falls off hard in teamfights; I just seem to get set so far behind playing safe against him that I don't scale in line with the other ADC even when farming sidelanes as hard as I can when he starts to roam.

    Any tips? Thanks!

    Bad at everything but ADC

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 03:53 AM PDT

How do I play casters or bruisers? I'm an adc main because I can't fucking play anything that isn't just "right click on enemy champion."
Every time I see a darius or a vladimir go 22/0 it inspires me to play something other than shitty adc. It's just a crutch for me at this point, because no matter what else I pick I feel utterly and completely ineffectual. It's like all my abilities are stealth nerfed so they do 50% less damage when I'm using them.
I need help, this is keeping me out of ranked. I can't just resign myself to losing every single game I get auto-filled, I want to get better at other roles.

I'm honestly pretty sick of playing marksman, as I feel like I can't carry games from this role. I feel like I'm just entirely at the mercy of my team after laning phase, and that I have zero impact on what happens.

This is a rambly post, I wish I could be more specific about what advice I'm looking for, but I don't know what kind of questions I should be asking.

How should I manage waves in bot lane?

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 09:35 AM PDT

Right now I have kind of "strategy" on how I should manage waves to get a bigger lead that basically consists in the following:

    • When scuttle or drake isn't up, I always look to freeze while trading, poking and/or zoning enemy laners with heavy cc supports like morgana thresh pyke etc, or even call my jungler to come gank if they greed for cs. This eventually leads to a slowpush and then I hardpush when it gets close to turret until it bounces back to the middle of the lane and repeat the process.
    • When scuttle or drake is up I just look to hardpush lane everytime to get priority over drake and tell my jungler that we can do it if he wants to.

How can I adapt my strategy to make it better?

    Should I start playing ranked?

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 07:18 AM PDT

I'm at level 40 and already have those 20 champions I need to join ranked queue.

I play midlane, usually Veigar, Ahri, Fizz and Kassadin.

I'm not so good at the game but I have improved a lot in the last two months. Started getting S- and S ranks (but not everytime), dying fewer times per game and etc.

Should I play my first ranked matchs now or wait until I improve more?

What impact will alcoves have on the game?

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 10:07 AM PDT

I haven't seen too much discussion on this. Basically, Riot will add small alcoves on top and bottom lane.

From what I can tell, it should give the opportunity to make more outplays. You can kite into them, use the bushes, and stall time for your team to help or get something else on the map.

Getting Destroyed in Normals - Plays Jungle

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 12:16 PM PDT

So I'm level 33 or so and have been getting destroyed playing jungle. I usually play master yi or jax and am thinking of playing vi as well. I haven't started ranked mostly because I dont want to be horrible in ranked and get a bad rank. I normally am not getting invaded or dieing much in the early game, before 6, but in the mid game to late game I cant do anything. I wanna say that my team feeds but that isn't the case, I cant do anything to anybody fed or not. Getting kills is really hard a swell and just farming makes me a lower level most of the time. Lol. Any tips? aslo what other information do you need to help me?

    How to avoid autopiloting?

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 05:10 PM PDT

This is a strange question indeed but I have no idea how to get over this.

A bit of context, I was a D4 player with great sense of map awareness. I recently switched roles from top lane to ADC and for some reason every time I play ADC I just auto pilot the game instead of consciously thinking. I recently did my placements and while I did well the games have just all been a blur.

I know this is probably more internal and it's not something someone can help me fix but is there any advice for someone whom has been through this?

Tips for a struggling Kha'Zix player?

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 04:55 PM PDT

So Im new to the game (lvl 20) but have found pretty good success with Cho'Gath top lane. I bought Kha'Zix but absolutely cannot do well with him. In the right games I've played with him, my most kills were 8 (with a whopping 14 deaths), compared to CG, where in my first eight games i had reached 19 and 24 kills with less than six deaths. My other games with CG were also pretty good. But with Kha'Zix, nothing I do seems to work. He doesn't do much damage, all of his early items are expensive, and I just can't seem to help in ganks and such. Please help

Help with ganking and solo fighting

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 04:20 PM PDT

Hey, I'm trying to improve as I feel after 3 years of play I am stuck where I am. I play as a jungle main. I usually play tanky junglers such as Nunu, Sejuani and Amumu and tend to play with my partner who is a top lane main. I tend to be aggressive in my play style but am trying to work on disengaging better. I think my pathing is generally good but that my ability to gank and my fighting ability when I meet the enemy jungler are my massive downfalls. I am currently unranked mainly because I feel if I go into rank with my current play skill I will end up in ELO hell and be unable to climb. When I gank in games usually I end up coming away empty handed at best and dead at worst and the same is usually true if I run into the enemy jungler. I think my choice going towards tanky junglers is because I survive more encounters as a tank than I do playing someone like Jarvan or Ekko. I feel like until I can improve on my solo fighting ability that I won't get anywhere in game and would like some pointers to be able to solo fight better. Can't dodge?

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 03:32 PM PDT

Hello! Since I updated the launcher I am not able to dodge anymore. I realized this today when I noticed I had 2 remakes (leaver) in my match history. Got in a lobby, found some awful stuff including a 33% winrate adc, decided to gtfo of there and closed the client.. after picking cause I was first pick. I decide to check on it and re-open the client: I'm in the loading screen for the game :/

Does anyone else has this problem? How can I solve? Not being able to dodge is an mmr death sentence..

Low damage with Fizz but i win games

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 09:07 AM PDT

My DPM is 472 vs 659 compared to the average Fizz player.

I win games, at least in silver - gold however I'm starting to think if I'm too passive with Fizz?

What could I improve? I play a very defensive game, focusing on cs and attacking the enemy only when I'm sure I can go all in to kill it...

Please help me learn how to be an asset to my team while playing Jungle

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 02:23 PM PDT

    Hi everyone,

This is my first post here, but I just recently returned to League after a few years off. I've never been into ranked play, but now I think I want to try to climb once I'm able to play Ranked games. Thus, I'm focused on improving the areas that really need improvement.

I main mid-lane with a pool of champions with decent success. My secondary position is top-lane with a smaller pool of champions, also with decent success. I can ADC if need be without too much anxiety, and same goes for Support. However, the Jungle is the bain of my existence. I swear when I used to play league a few seasons back the Jungle didn't scare me at all. In fact, I had some success with it and it was very fun. But now when I play the Jungle I have SO much anxiety and my shotcalling is horrible. I have seriously fed hard the last 2 games I played in the Jungle (as Xin Zhao) and my team was flaming the living fuck out of me (rightfully so).

I just don't understand it anymore. I have watched Leaguecraft 101's "priority list" video and a few other helpful videos, but when I get into game I still don't understand it. My team constantly flames me from the get-go telling me to come gank then telling me to back off. It wasn't like this before.

I really like Hecarim and I think I want to buy him and learn him for the rare occasions when I play Jungle. The reason I need to learn is in case I get autofilled, I don't want to be completely useless.

The only thing I really understand is pathing. But the decision making process while Jungling, how to know when to invade, how to best help my team at any given time, it all fucking baffles me.

Please, any advice you might have will be helpful. I promise you I am the worst Jungler in NA. Thanks for reading and any help I might receive with this issue.

    Edit: syntax

Edit 2: I want to clarify the specific parts of Jungling that I immensely struggle with:

    1. Knowing when to gank, and how to handle a teammate getting bullied in lane when I'm sure the enemy will kill me if I gank
    2. Knowing when to invade the enemy jungle
    3. Knowing when and how to hold a teammate's lane
    4. Knowing when to push a teammate's lane with them
    5. Knowing when to stop farming and try to take a tower
    6. Knowing when to simply powerfarm
    7. Knowing if I should abandon a potential gank to take an objective
    8. This one is important, knowing what to do if I fall behind in gold and/or levels

    How to start playing katarina?

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 07:31 AM PDT

I started plating league about a year ago. At first I only played mages, but know I think I can play a couple champs really well (Ahri, Morg, Jhin, Cho). I have never "Mained" a role. I for some reason can't just main a skngle champ. Even if that champ is really interesting for me and I can play hin really well (looking at those 4) I never have ghe mindset to play him for example for more than 7 games before switching to something else. I have never played assasins that much. But I want to change.

    My main 2 questions:

    How to play katarina well?

And how to "Main" a champ without getting bored of it after 4-8 games?

Are there champions that just fit 1 role perfectly?

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 02:26 AM PDT

For example, I honestly feel that Ryze, Talon, will use these 2 as an example, they are perfect for mid-lane and no other lane. Talon is already a roaming god, but when Ryze hits 6, he can use his ult to roam as well. Top, Bot, he's situated perfectly in mid and can affect each lane without needing to waste TP. If he was top and he wanted to go Bot, bye bye TP.

It's just more more efficient to use him mid in my opinion. I don't know why anyone would play him anywhere else.

I saw an Ivern top once as well. Why? Ivern is a jungler. That's his perfect role. I don't know. Players in League like to get "creative" I guess.

My interest in learning jg and climbing as a low elo jungler excites me

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 12:07 PM PDT

Hi everyone Raidzero5 here...asking for some advice on how to effectively win with champs like Kayn (my main),Elise,Kha'zix and Evelyn recently I have been enjoying playing alot of Elise and Kha'zix which I dominate the early game with but eventually fall off and start dying alot eventually getting outscaled and losing so how do I ensure that I win games with those 2 on a consistent basis?
