If you press on a ranked game u better play or u should be punished for trolling or afking in base. I dont care if you lost your lane, almost every Game is turnable. Those people ruin the fun for other people and this is not acceptable. To be clear I dont mean hopeless games where the score is 0-30 but people that refuse to play when they are loosing there lane and are like 0-3 while all other lanes are perfectly fine. Strap yourself in. I had the chance to spend a day playing #ProjectA at Riot EU. Today, I'm allowed to share some of my initial thoughts and impressions. Please bear with me, I can't go into too much detail about the specifics of a lot of the gameplay until a later date. If you're reading this and you're not familiar with what I do; I am known as HenryG, primarily a CS:GO commentator and former professional CS player. Down a similar vein to these upcoming tweets, I was also part of the first ever play-test of CS:GO in 2011 at Valve. First of all, at its core, Project A is essentially a round based, 5on5, tactical shooter (most similar to CS:GO as a twitter surface level comparison), with the better (and slightly diluted) elements of class/hero based FPS games such as Overwatch or Apex Legends, for example. The game mode we had access to was MR12, DE/SnD with a A & B bombsite with an attack/defence swap at half time. In my opinion, these aforementioned classes and their own unique 'abilities' should be seen as tactical utility instead of potentially overpowered spell/ultimate combinations that other class-based games suffer from. Generally speaking, 'abilities' primarily need to be purchased at the start of a round instead of earnt over time with the same economy reservoir as the weaponry. The gameplay and gun mechanics are super slick and satisfying. On the build I played we experienced pretty well balanced and varied hitscan weapons that had their own unique spray patterns and best method(s) of approach for your situation or position. Similar to CS:GO, with the economy system, you could partially invest into rounds with less-fire power to take a gamble on a round and enter with basic abilities/utility. You can have a great time playing without having to rely too much on the abilities to assist you in your game. Saying that, there's nothing more satisfying dropping a successful combo of movement mechanics abilities that isolates your opponent to buy space before pulling the trigger on the killing blow. All classes have access to the same generic weaponry via an economy CS:GO fans wouldn't find too difficult to adjust to. Generally speaking a 1 bullet headshot with one of the primary rifle(s) [with any class/hero wielding it] will do enough damage to take down an opponent. One of the most exciting elements of the game to me was the map design. They have been beautifully created and follow Counter-strikesque familiar lanes and choke points. With the focus on game-play substance, rather than flowery aesthetics. I will be creating some initial content at a later date where I can dive into a lot more specific information. For now, I will say that this is a very exciting title that is being built by the right people that has the potential to be one of the giant titles of the FPS space. Riot's handling of Wukong is very frustrating and he deserves better. Posted: 11 Feb 2020 10:44 AM PST So some context I don't really consider myself a main of any champion but if anything I'm a kindred main but Wukong has the champion that got me into league and he has always been close to my most played champion and seeing him like this really hurts my willingness to play. So first wukong was basically untouched for a long time until the lethality update where he got buffed from items and in general and then in season 8 he also got buffed. Now mid way though season 8 Wukong was really strong in soloQ since lethality, stormrazor and duskblade made him super unfair so Wukong got basically nerfed into the ground like his q went from 30 damage and 10% scaling to 10 damage and no scaling and the patch before his e was also nerfed. While lethality and duskblade got nerfed also. Now you would think that after duskblade and lethality got nerfed and stormrazor got rework Riot would revert the nerfs or just add something back but they didn't all riot did was give him 8% attack speed level 1. Like the reasons wukong got nerfed are either gone or nerfed so it makes 0 sense not to revert or buff him. But there was hope last season Riot said Wukong was getting a mini rework and that rework received a lot of positive feedback. It fixed some of his problems and give him more power. Now it got delayed since according to Riot they needed the resources for preseason which was fine since it did need effect changes. Now you would think after preseason riot would start testing those changing again but nope instead of actually giving players the rework that liked and were waiting for riot gives us a different rework like it's actually very different and smaller. The new person in charge give a horrible reason why and it was pretty vague. It was like "we are not giving wukong damage amp because we're keeping armor reduction" even though that isn't a actual reason since he didn't say why they wanted to keep it despite them getting rid of it earlier. So far this version of the rework has received a lot of hate since it doesn't fix anything and they even swapped armor reduction to damage amp and that doing that made many people happy since that makes WAY more sense since armor reduction but then they go back to armor reduction again after the possible feedback like wtf. It's also still being worked on despite being a good deal smaller and it really shouldn't have taken this long. So that beings up to now current Wukong is at his lowest playrate ever due to being horrible and now we have a rework that is smaller and more hated then the last one while also taken a very long time. Like this is really frustrating since it seems like Riot is just trolling us. The person in charge of the wukong rework has shown he clearly doesn't understand the champion, he basically acts like Wukong is already in a good state, I believe he said on twitter the reason the shield was physical only was because wukong did well vs mages which makes no sense and I believe the last round of change made the shield all damage or he ignores the feedback from one of the best wukong players by saying he is wrong since they have 200 years of experience or something like that which lead to a meme and it made him look bad. It's so annoying that it seems like riot doesn't want to rework him. Like look at Wukong in dota or smite or any game since he is in so many. They're much better and more true to the original characters. Both both dota and smite the q is a skill shot, he has tools to still longer in a fight, he is a bruiser. League is supposed to be the best moba and it should have the best Wukong but it doesn't which is sad since there is so much riot can do. I really want riot to start over and give players a rework that makes him a actual champion. I'm not trying to hate on Riot or anyone in charge but this is just something I wanted to get off my chest. [link] [comments] | ||
