Free Talk Tuesday - March 17th! Posted: 17 Mar 2020 12:57 AM PDT Hey, everyone! IcyColdStare here with this week's edition of our Free Talk Thread! I know it's a scary time in the world at the moment, and a lot of us are wondering what the next couple of weeks are going to have in store for us. Whether life is continuing on as normal for you or if you're getting ready to go into quarantine for the foreseeable future, there are a lot of questions that we just don't have the answers to right now. I wish that I could say that everything will be back to normal soon™ - but that depends on a lot of things. A lot of very smart and talented people are working very hard to get us back to normal, and all we can really do is make that easier for them. If you want to expedite that process, I'll simply ask that we be safe, be kind and be smart - and remember; you're not alone! Reach out to friends, family and hell - if you just want someone to talk to my PMs are always open. We'll get through this! :) Now that we've got all that boring stuff out of the way, how's about that Fiddle reveal, eh? If that thing tries to gank me I'm flashing ON SIGHT, y'all. ON SIGHT. Between the passive fear effect, the OMNI SUCC and the decoys this creature is placing all over the map, you just know dude's gonna get scare the crap out of everyone all over the Rift. I've never been a Fiddle connoisseur but new Union Jack (the Ripper) looks awesome. What do you think of the Ancient Fear? Let's hear it! So it would sound like six people sneezing over and over at later levels. Always remember to cover your nose(s) when you sneeze. It can do a lot of damage to peoples' health. I Am Convinced Riot Could Forcibly Pin Control Wards at the Top of Your Item Page, But Some People Still Won't Buy Them Posted: 17 Mar 2020 11:42 AM PDT Just another vent about Control Wards. At times, I legit am annoyed how some players act like Control Wards don't exist. Like, it's starting to tilt me knowing that I'll probably end up buying more Control Wards than my teammates in a given match. I just think Control Wards are just a fundamental aspect of the game. They're so crucial in many ways. However, players act like either A) a Control Ward is tooooo much for the one item slot it occupies (whether the Control Ward should be its own slot is another can of worms to be honest) or B) Control Wards are too much of a hassle/delay for their items at just 75 gold. "I'm getting camped!" - as they proceed to buy zero Control Wards in their top lane. "I can't see anything on the map!" - as they don't contribute to buying Control Wards that literally provide vision of the map. Like I always argue, I don't expect every player in every match regardless of skill to buy 50 Control Wards every match. Buying a few Control Wards here and there will help your team out. They have prevent and set up lots of plays. However, even if Riot pinned Control Wards at the top of every item page, I am convinced a lot of players still won't get them. Champ Select with 4 people Posted: 17 Mar 2020 07:17 AM PDT Queued up and got only 4 people on my team. My mid was on the other team and the champ he was hovering was also being hovered by the enemy teams 4th pick. Fiddle's ult should have him crawl instead of blink Posted: 17 Mar 2020 03:57 PM PDT Instead of blinking into his ult spot, I think he should do the super fast crawl like he does in the cinematic. Make it like a 0.4s animation that can still go over terrain and maybe give it a larger cast range to compensate if necessary.
