Dignitas has allowed @Huni to explore other opportunities in advance of the LCS Summer Split.

I'm sure this will be controversial considering the salary they agreed upon during the offseason.

Dodging games is not a problem

    Posted: 04 Apr 2020 04:33 AM PDT

Over the next few months, we're going to slowly tune up the penalties for repeated champ select dodges:

Increasing the "repeated dodge timeout" so that we catch more egregious cases where players are dodging constantly

Amping up LP penalties for dodges (current is -3 for first dodge -10 if repeated)

Dodging is not a problem, the problem is THE REASON why people are dodging. People are not dodging for fun or just to ruin other players experience, people dodge games because they feel threatened by other players, people dodge games because they are being held hostage by other players, people dodge games because they got matched with streamers who FORCE them to give up role for their sake.

Do not amp up LP penalties for dodges but instead look into the issue why people are dodging in a first place. Do not turn the blind eye to the fact that the problem lies elsewhere and suggested solution will turn out to be even more frustrating for the players.

Instead of punishing players for dodging games make them feel secure enough so they don't have to dodge. People are not doing this for fun. They just don't want to waste 20-50 minutes of their time because of some soloq teorrirst clown.

My take on Riot Games Launcher looks

My take on Riot Games Launcher looks

There are three games from Riot already (well, four, but you can't launch TFT separately from LoL), and maybe it's time to make it possible to launch them from one place.

Here's my take on such launcher. I'm not a designer in any way, just wanted to try that and see how it would look.

Also, Rito, please bring back animated splash screens!

League needs a permanent mode that is faster than SR

    Posted: 04 Apr 2020 07:41 AM PDT

One being where you can choose your character. Whether it's akin to Dominion, Nexus Blitz etc.

Recently saw that Riot has heard people's wants for a mode like this back, but they want to do it as a seasonal event mode.

While I agree they should incorporate it first as an event mode to see player numbers/how much people play it, this needs to be permanent in the long run and not just a one time thing every year.

Edit: Everyone saying, "haven't you heard of ARAM?" Yes I have. I said a mode that isn't random and lets you choose your character.

At 3:08 Faker keeps saying "20 seconds" to tell the team he and Cuzz will need 20 seconds to take Baron. The moment he says it the game play time is at 23:43. Baron goes down at 24:03.

Change remake surrender to just one vote

    Posted: 04 Apr 2020 11:59 AM PDT

Just played a long 30min game 4v5 because my team refused to vote yes when the remake timer popped up. I think it's fair to say in a 4v5 situation 90% of the time the team with 4 people will lose. Making it one vote would just make sure no one could be trolled and forced to play a game they know they'd lose regardless of their skill

Edit: in the title I don't mean surrender vote I mean the remake vote if someone disconnects early (some people might get confused)

We need a Kangaroo Kalista skin

    Posted: 04 Apr 2020 10:26 AM PDT

Why hasn't this obvious gap in the skin market been capitalized on yet?

Kalista jumps around nonstop. What else jumps around nonstop? Kangaroos. (Also, frogs. But frogs are not as cool as Kangaroos. And frogs are already overrepresented due to their appearance in the Neeko teaser.)

If Riot makes a funny looking Kalista skin with a pouch and long ears (similar style as URF- or Definitely Not X-Skins), I predict levels of sales that will single-handedly cancel out the entire Corona market losses of all businesses in Europe.

Riot's stocks will bounce to new heights. People will jump from their chairs in excitement. Hopefully Riot will not skip this opportunity to leap into a new era of skin quality.

(Also, please do some extra German lines, in a reference to our Kangaroo Chronicles)

Kaiser got completely robbed in the All Pro Team voting and here is why

    Posted: 04 Apr 2020 10:22 AM PDT

    TLDR at the bottom

Let me preface this by saying: Yes I am a fan some of my viewpoints might be slightly biased but there are enough facts that back my points up so don't disregard everything I say just because I have a MAD Lions flair. Also the playoff games against G2 are not at all taken into consideration for my arguments since they are not taken into consideration for the votes.

Don't get me wrong Kaiser placing third would be a great achievement for a rookie support but if you look at the stats and the opinions of very knowledgeable people you will see that him placing third with half the points of Hylissang just shows how much of a popularity contest the voting really is. As far as I know the voting should not take the teams success into consideration but rather the individual players performance.

So let's get to the stats:

    Kill participation

When it comes to Kill participation he is leading it by a lot with him having a KP% of 76,5% followed by Destiny with a KP% of 71,6% and Mikyx at 70,9%. Kill participation is one of the most important stats for a good support and shows just how much involvement a player has into the game. As a side note he is the player with the overall highest KP% as well (Not counting Ventairs 87,5% since he only played 2 games). The KP% becomes even more impressive if you look at the champions he played and his share of deaths in the team (which is the lowest of all supports at 17,5%). Especially in the later part of the split he often played engage supports like Sett or Leona and still managed to stay alive more than all the other supports. This means that he found good engages and a lot of them without having to sacrifice himself. Now I will say this as a slight counter point which some people might be thinking of: The playstyle and overall calls of the team might influence these stats slightly but I think a much bigger reason why his stats are so impressive is because he is a very mechanically gifted player.

    Warding

It is probably known to most people that a big part of the support role is warding so these stats should also matter quite a lot. When it comes to Wards placed per minute he is a close second behind LIMIT who has a WPM of 1,65 with Kaiser being at 1,62 (I excluded Steelback since he only played 8 games). Hylissang has the lowest score of WPM at 1,27. As far as Wards cleared per minute goes he ranks 4th with a score of 0.38. Mikyx at third with 0.4. Tore and Destiny tie for first at 0.41. So not a huge difference there and Kaiser is definitely still top tier when it comes to these stats. Hylissang is again last at 0.26 WCPM.

    Honorable mention First Blood rate

I don't think this stat is quite as important but (excluding steelback again) here he also ranks second after Mikyx. With Mikyx being at 39% and Kaiser being at 33%. The next ones following are denyk, Hylissang, LIMIT and Vander all at 22%. This shows how much of an anchor the MAD botlane was for them. Note that the First blood also takes assists into consideration. Kaiser also had the second highest KDA behind Mikyx at 4.8 (Mikyx at 5.1). Now one counterargument I can already see is that the First blood rate is obviously influenced by the strengths and playstyles of the other lanes and that is why I only put it as an honorable mention.

    MVPs

Supports don't get a lot of MVPs since they are comparable to defenders in sports like football. They don't usually get the kills so people who have no clue about the game often only vote for the person that has the best KDA or looked the flashiest without taking anything else into consideration. Kaiser still managed to be the only support to get 2 MVPs and was an MVP candidate in all but 1 or 2 MAD wins (In my opinion some of the MVPs Carzzy got could or maybe even should have went to Kaiser). And he managed to get them with only 11 wins. Mikyx had 15 wins and Hylissang had 13 wins so 4/2 more chances to get an MVP. Mikyx got 0 MVPs and Hylissang got 1.

    Aside from the stats

Especially in the last few games the casters and analysts have started to more and more highlight the fact that Kaisers ults with Taric, Leona and Sett have been immaculate. He singlehandedly won teamfights with a perfectly timed Taric ult and found an insane amount of great engages with Sett. He also rarely missed a Leona ult stun and almost always did them at the right time as well.

    Knowledgeable people who acknowledge Kaiser

First of all Mikyx who ([apparently] since I don't have a source on this I just read it in a thread a couple of weeks ago) said in an Interview that Kaiser is the second best support in EU (obviously putting himself first). The other person that aknowledged him is Grabbz the coach of G2 who put him first in the LEC All Pro voting.

    In Conclusion

Kaiser should have arguably been first in the voting and if not first definitely been a close second. I think a lot of people overlooked him because he is a rookie and people usually take rookies performances with a grain of salt but the stats show that he definitely deserved a much higher percentage of the votes.

    Sources

    Player Statistics MVPs

TLDR: Kaisers stats are very good and especially when it comes to KP% he is by far the best one and he doesn't deserve to be third in the votings with half the votes of Hylissang, since he completely outclassed him.

    Edit: Spelling

Evil Geniuses vs FlyQuest Game 1 - Spring Playoffs Round 1 - Post-Match Discussion

    Evil Geniuses 1-0 FlyQuest

Didn't see a thread. Jiizuke was abused pretty heavily in the side lanes, but Evil Geniuses destroyed at the Baron teamfight and it only took 1 more teamfight to end the game. Huge Facebreaker from Kumo to shut down POE's escape and end it.

    Edit:

    Cosmic Qiyana concept idea

When Lux skin came i had this idea and tried to do it, i think about a lore where Qiyana wants a place in Cosmic Royal Court and Ashe calls her if she help defeat the dark stars. any tips are welcome ^^

    I did it on Medibang.

Why don't wards disappear instantly or reveal vision instantly? It feels incredibly inconsistent.

    Posted: 04 Apr 2020 01:48 PM PDT

I recently played a game as Darius where I was chasing someone into a bush, I placed a ward, and just nothing happened for 1-2 seconds. I lost my passive and then died.

I've noticed this ever since I started playing the game. You place a ward, sometimes it instant, sometime it isnt. I dont think this is intended. Does this happen to anyone else?

Edit: Another example is when you're clearing wards, the vision lingers for a good amount of time sometimes
