| Posted: 17 May 2020 10:21 AM PDT Seriously, I never understood why that isn't an option, since I'm pretty sure every other big game has that, but after they updated the launcher I don't even know where to alter the files to change it anymore. I've seen some people reporting serious issues, like living in a region with another language, or even people like me, who just wants the characters to sound different once in a while, I'd love to hear their voices in other languages, but I can't, because if you're in Brazil, you're stuck in Portuguese whether you like it or not. | Posted: 17 May 2020 09:51 AM PDT Maybe it's wanna of those wait and see what the overall effect of the change is, but in my opinion it may discourage the guy who's hardstuck gold/plat from making a smurf because he's convinced his mmr is fucked, but I don't see how it stops smurfs whose sole purpose is to ruin low elo games, if anything the change helps them. As for unranked to challenger players it won't stop them at all, unranked to challenger streams are still very popular and in high demand, and now these challenger streamers are stuck for longer stomping low elo, and ruining those games for players in the elo. Edit: I see now that while LP gains are slowed mmr is not, so these players are not actually playing in the rank they are shown, thanks for the help! [link] [comments] | ||

XD" enemy vlad prob boosted idk how this guys in this elo, outcsing him while outroaming him too" Game 3 Thresh: "enemy team said i was scripting LOL... so ez to dodge hooks" People who main these champions assume that because they win lane most games, it means they're a better player than others in their elo. To everyone who actually plays other champions in the lane, it's obvious that these champions have almost no counterplay early and just smash almost every matchup they're in. But when the enemy laner is able to comfortably scale up and allow themselves to be at a deficit then carry later on in the game because the Early Game God was unable to close the game out, they cry. Which is why you have Game 4: "balance team??? HELLO??? jax and yuumi literally 2v5ing our team... just farm until 40 and win every game, what can u do against this?? no counterplay, won lane but lost game" Discuss. We haven't been in an actual "lategame meta" in over 5 years. Last time that teams genuinely played for late was in Season 2. Sometimes people will make the argument "but even if i try to snowball my lane, what if -other- players on my team don't follow my calls and we lose?" Yeah, that's not exclusive to you. If you play lategame champions, you will get the opposite problem: Teams not following defensive calls, dying, and snowballing the game naturally or just ragequitting. EDIT: Since this has been mentioned in a few comments already ("games go longer in low elo matches so lategame champions should be better, right?), I'll address this question in the thread body. Most lategame champions have a lower winrate in lower elos because teams give up faster in low elo and don't know how to play to scale. [link] [comments] | ||

| You try to play toplane for once. Posted: 17 May 2020 07:55 AM PDT You get tired of afk farming as ADC or mid so you try your hand at top. You're not new to toplane, you just quit the role a year ago but you forgot why. You pick Riven and the enemy team picks Ryze top and Vi. Vi constantly goes red to top. Vi doesn't give a flying fuck about playing the game properly, other lanes or even getting farm. You told Vi "your mom gay" 15 years ago and now she just wants to stop you from playing. It's okay though. You're playing Riven so you can absorb the pressure without losing much farm. Ryze is running phase rush so trying to pressure him is the equivalent of making a new online account. After continuous Vi gank attempts on top and her literally walking from base to top, you're doing pretty well. You're even on cs, and after 1 countergank and a few solokills you're 5/3. You have Black Cleaver and Death's Dance so you're ready to fight now. You look at the scoreboard, your jungler is 1/5 and he just dced, the enemy Lucian is 5/1. Your botlane and mid are both 1/1 trying to hold on. You look back to all the ganks you sponged up. All the times Vi pressed R and guranteed a stunlock on you. Your team never got ganked by Vi, you did. You finally remember why you stopped playing toplane. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 17 May 2020 02:26 PM PDT With the addition of turning chat off, riots stance on pings as a form of communication & the general consensus of at the very least the vocal community that /muteall is the way to go: recieving a chat ban should straight up disable chat entirely for X matches. even disabling what your teammates are saying to you, to give people a full break from chat. And, as for being perma banned for anything chat related - it's always been kinda silly to me. I think people should 100% be punished for shit they say, but in the end i think they should just recieve longer and longer bans, 14 day > 1 month > 3 month > 1 year > repeating 1 year bans.
