So a friend was a little bit too toxic for Riot so he got a 14-day suspension.

    https://preview.redd.it/yg7w9k5seq451.jpg?width=962&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=edf122f0d6902e2abcec0b9871340da6f00828bd

Lesson learned, don't type in chat!

First time we've seen something like this, unclear if TFT chat had a role in his ban, but if it did why don't the logs show that?

    EDIT:

Proof that it's not shopped (cut before the client fully loaded to prevent name showing, ik that the username showed but whatcha gonna do)

    EDIT 2:

just realised that it the summoner name shows in the logs anyway, disregard comment above

    EDIT 3:

Replying to a few comments saying that he's probably been toxic before and that this was just the last straw. Admittedly the guy is not a saint by any means and I can't/won't vouch that he was not toxic before (I mean, he's probably the stereotypical LoL player and does get tilted and spam pings, etc.) but the post was made mainly to showcase Riots punishment system. While it has its flaws I personally think that if you are banned you should get a bit more information regarding the games that contributed. The picture above is the perfect example of the flaws in the system and it's a pain (in this case) to have to contact support to try and get this resolved when the reason given for the ban clearly doesn't meet the criteria for a ban.

I'm pretty sure that if/when he contacts support he would be given more details and the ban might be lifted, but I personally don't think it's worth the hassle and he should just wait it out (the account is a smurf). But it's ridiculous to get banned like this when there are so many people soft/hard INTing and getting away with it.

    The Mundo quick combo

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 06:57 AM PDT

With the Mundo rework coming soon, and as a Mundo main, I'd thought I'll present the knowledge that you guys didn't need at all but here you go.

When you're playing Mundo top lane, getting smashed by a 1.3 million points riven, showing off her flashy combos, dashing left and right, dodging all of your cleavers and you die again and again. You think to yourself "If only Mundo had a combo"

Well, I present to you the Mundo Quick Combo

Different champions have different auto-attack (AA) speeds, and some champions have abilities that reset the time between AAs, allowing you to attack faster in some sort of way

This is a normal AA pattern

    • AA ----- AA ----- AA ----- AA

where the (----) is the down-time of your auto attacks

    SIMPLEST COMBO

    • AA E -- AA

As Mundo's E is an AA reset

With Mundo's Qs, by timing your AAs

You are able to Q right before you AA, so the AA pattern becomes

    • AA ---- Q AA ----- AA ----- AA

But then if you E right after the AA, resetting the cooldown, you have achieved the

    Mundo Quick Combo

    • AA ---- Q AA E -- AA ----- AA

Where the Q AA E -- (AA) is basically a burst for Mundo during early game and you can win a lot of fights as your enemies do not expect the damage.

Yuumi has 60% ban rate at plat+ world wide

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 11:44 AM PDT

On both european servers she has over 70% ban rate, and on NA she has 69.5, she has around 35% ban rate in korea, in lower elos she is not so much banned, but at plat plus she is a monster. I also think that the ban rate is slowly increasing.

I think she was a complete failure of a champion, she is basicly funnel strategy made champion.

Even if her adc is brain dead she attaches to bruiser after lanning phase and she removes most weaknesses from said bruiser (with movement speed and slows) and increases their durability with heals, while in same time is 100% immune to damage and cc.

If she could attach on champion for some time, and then follow of for some time it would provide a window to punish her, at the moment she is obnoxious.

She is also very contested pick in pro play.

She needs to have some type of rework.

I tried to fix the new LCS overlay

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 01:24 PM PDT

    Image: https://imgur.com/oYytHAp

I took a lot of the excellent reactions from this thread and tried to refine the new LCS overlay.

I'm guessing the new design was constrained by some corporate blowhard demanding that WE NeEd cLEaR LcS BraNDiNg. Okay, okay. Let's work under those constraints.

You know what's not LCS branding? Rounded edges. WTF is this, 2007? Let's sharpen things up. We'll keep the solid background colors, but we can take a cue from the LCS shield logo and wrap everything in a nice clean gold stroke. We can also square up the player photos.

To get rid of those awkwardly uneven margins around the minimap, all we need is to scale it up a bit. I accommodated this by clipping off some of the fountain at the corners. (Do we really care where on the fountain they're standing?)

But the biggest offender here, IMHO, is using a chunky sans font (looks like FF Din) for what should be easily readable stats. Yes, it matches the LCS logo, but it conflicts with half of the the text on screen, our standard in-game Friz Quadrata. Serif text is just easier to read, especially at small sizes (might be watching on a phone), so let's go back to Friz for the vital stats.

There'a good argument to be made that gold is more telling than kills. And since we just HAVE to have the LCS shield there in the center, let's go ahead and whole-ass the gold stats instead of half-assing ALL the stats. We'll bring back side colors instead of team colors so it's obvious these are opposing stats, matching the team health bars in game.

Instead of giving kills and turrets the same layout as gold, I tried stacking them in a column. For one, this lets us shrink the width of the entire top overlay. Second, it's actually easier to visually compare kills for kills, say, when there's contrasting arrangement in the stats. Yeah, they're smaller, but I think raising the kill counters higher makes them actually stand out more.

I actually like the flyout for dragon markers. Last year they were just sort of hanging off the overlay and got lost easy. The asymmetry this provides is also telling.

Finally, I tried swapping the baron and drake timers. I couldn't find footage of a baron timer last year (but I didn't look very hard; was there one?), and it bugged me that baron is in the top left and drakes in the lower right, but the timers were the other way. There's no problem with having the baron power play flyout on the left to match the timer position. For LTR readers, that makes it even more prominent, as it should be.

This is an interesting problem to solve! I can see they tried to make it as clean as possible, but when you have so many important stats, it's more about managing the clutter than trying to eliminate it. Let me know how you think I did!

SushiDragon on LCS is Some of The Worst Content LCS has Broadcasted

    Posted: 12 Jun 2020 09:19 PM PDT

To preface this post, I've been watching NALCS for about 4ish years and have seen much of lame content that Riot has tried feeding us. Anything from the 2019 Spring finals opening song to general awkward player interviews. However, today I had to physically turn off the broadcast because the content felt so "un-LCS" like and poorly done. IMPORTANT: This is not a post to attack SushiDragon, he obviously serves a genre of content really well. This is a post to complain about how out of touch the people at Riot making decisions are. I have always regarded LCS as a semi-professional broadcast with okay personalities and decent quality transitions. Although I believe changing up the broadcast is important, SushiDragon between games just wasn't it. The in-between segment felt disjointed from the rest of the broadcast, nauseously cringeworthy, and cheap. I understand that COVID-19 is going to limit the broadcast quality and what they can do, but the person who greenlit this had a "fuckit" mentality and needs to realize content like this hurts LCS more than helps. This is not to say that SushiDragon doesn't belong on the broadcast here and there. I believe if this skit segment was combined with a more professional personality like MarkZ then the contrasting styles might be somewhat more familiar and tolerable. I hope the LCS can find it's stride and have a broadcast that seems cohesive and professional, while still being fun and community engaging. It feels like the community interested in the North American League is slowly falling and that is a scary thought.

Mad Hatter Shaco needs a new friend, Cheshire Yuumi.

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 03:14 AM PDT

There are so many things you could do with this skin. Here are some things on top of my head:

Yuumi passively starts disappearing as her healthbar is lower.

On spawn: "What a nice day for teaparty, isnt it?"

" Every adventure requires a first step. "

Killing an enemy :"I'll take you to the Hare and the Hatter, but that's the end of it!"

Pentakill:"Off with their heads!(oh wait that is not my line, said in murmuring voice)"

Dying: "I am not crazy, my reality is just different from yours!"

When using W on an ally after taking damage: "If I am not real, why are you trying to hit me?"

    Taunt:"We're all mad here. "

Moving out of combat: "If you don't know where you want to go, then it doesn't matter which path you take."

Using E: "It's always tea time."

"Care to join me for some tea?"

When paired up with Mad Hatter Shaco:

"I really do like that hat, perhaps you should bequeath it to me?"

"Let us make a tea party!"

Assisting in a kill "Where are your manners! You always offer a guest a treat first!"

Healing Shaco with E "A fine tea, but it is missing something, some gushingly terrifying aroma of dread, perhaps you can help me with that. "

    "Where is the Hare?"

Healing low health Shaco "Haste makes waste, but if a ferret was to dart up my dress I would run!"

FLY Santorin on recent solo queue video with Sneaky: "I take solo queue really seriously and I know there's this meme where 'oh, pros and streamers don't care about solo queue', I really care[...] Honestly, in my mind, I thought this guy was doing it for content (laughs)"

    TSM Meteos confirmed?

    how bad events have become.

    Posted: 12 Jun 2020 11:33 PM PDT

remember when events were so big they changed the look of summoners rift, new gamemodes, even changed the narrator temporarily. they had a brand new gamemode every event. you couldnt NOT notice the event. how is it today?

i have completed all of the pulsefire missions and after loging in today i said "wait theres a pulsefire event? oh yeah that thing..."

it used to be something i would be hyped about now its just "i guess free champion shards!"

    Delay in LCS Overlay

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 07:34 AM PDT

Besides the complaints about the way it looks, my main issue with the scoreboard is the delay of information! I don't know what they've done that causes the data to update slower, but there's several seconds of delay.

In yesterday's C9-FLY game , Nisqy takes the first CS at 1:22 on the clock. The gold doesn't update until 1:40 on the clock. There is an 18 second delay between an action and scoreboard update. The same happens when there are kills in game, the scoreboard only updates after a long delay. I also noticed a similar delay with the towers taken during the academy games on Thursday, but it was not as apparent during the LCS games yesterday.
