I was verbally slammed and eviscerated by an LEC caster today.

    Posted: 24 Jul 2020 04:22 PM PDT

It took me a long time to recover from the absolute knee to the stomach, karate chop to the neck nature of what has transpired this Friday.

Several days ago, I made an innocent comment about how LEC is harder to watch for me, on account of it being cringier than LCS. This is an inarguable statement, as the C in LEC stands for cringe. For LCS, it stands for cool.

As retaliation, the LEC launched an attack against me.

Honestly, I really enjoyed the segment. It was well-produced, and a lot of the points are true. In the future, I will give Yoorup or whatever it's called more attention. But there's something said that left me so inconsolably shell shocked that I am still not whole.

Ender called me a TSM fan.

I've been huddled up in front of my screen without it powered on. Just letting myself get lost in the black abyss. Never in my life did I think the vicious rumor that I am a "TSM fan" would be broadcast to so many people. I've already received dozens of messages from people informing me that I am no longer welcome at their viewing parties.

I was at a job interview this afternoon, and it was going great. They pulled the interviewer out of the room to talk, however, and when he returned, he only asked, over and over:

    "What comes after groups?"

I wound up sobbing and shouting I don't know, I don't know, and they laughed me out of the building. I'm currently with my boyfriend at the moment. Teemo says it'll all be okay and the misunderstanding will clear up soon. I'm not so sure.

I'm going to be headed out for the weekend for vacation (now much needed compared to before), so I won't be able to really do much more than bring this VERBAL GIGA BASH to light. I vow there shall be repercussions if this foul mistake is not cleared up. BIG repercussions.

1€ equals to 1,16$ it's time for riot to increase euw rp gains as they were time ago

    Posted: 24 Jul 2020 04:18 AM PDT

Euros to rp have been decreased at least 2 times since I have started playing, now 10 euros give 1380 rp, some years ago it was 1580 and it was even higher before. 10€ equals to 11,59$, a EUW player basically loses 1,59€, if we consider that there is possibility to buy 310rp for 2,50€ the average euw player loses about 197,16 rp buying 10€ rp. This isn't an enormous loss, but considering that an average player is probably in high school or university, and has a low wage salary it's very rare that he buys high price rp at the same time like 35€ or 50€. This means that if he spends 10€ 5 times he will lose a total of 985 rp. Now I understand that the economic is harder than this but as a client and a guy who has been buying rp for years I feel really mistreated with how riot has dealt with EUW prices, keeping decreasing it over years without a compensation or a real discussion, because if it's about the euro's value it has no sense now.

Ahri and Yasuo coming to Bilgewater is most likely so that they can be in the upcoming Ruined King RPG

    Posted: 24 Jul 2020 07:41 AM PDT

Obviously not certain since we don't have a lot of solid information on the game yet, but we do know that it takes place in Bilgewater, so it would make sense to involve of the most popular characters so that they can be playable.

Where are they now? 2014 World Champion SSW

    Posted: 24 Jul 2020 08:28 AM PDT

In 2014, Samsung White won the World Championship and is considered to be one of the greatest teams of all time. They had incredible macro play and had the best support at the time in Mata, who ended up as tournament MVP. Although only Mata (3), Dandy(7) and Imp(15) were in the Pre-Worlds Top 20 players list, Looper and Pawn were also amazing players.

But what happened to this Legendary roster and where are the players now?

Well, the 2014/15 off season was the great Korean Exodus and saw every single member move to a new team in China. So lets see what everyone has been up to!

Top Laner Looper: He left SSW and after a tiny stint with Masters 3, He would be the Top Laner for Royal Never Give Up from December 2015 to December 2016. He had a pretty successful year and was named Best Top in LPL for the 2016 season. Then he would go to North America and play in the NA LCS for Echo Fox but only lasted a year before he officially retired from pro play

Jungler Dandy: After winning worlds 2014 Dandy went to Vici Gaming in the LPL but never came close to the success of his SSW days. However, after retiring from playing in 2017 and a year hiatus, he came back and was the Coach for RNG. He is currently the head coach of the Chinese team, eStar Gaming.

Mid Laner Pawn: Like his teammates on SSW he left for China and joined EDG. He was part of the first Chinese team to win the Mid Season Invitational in 2015. He would stay on EDG for 2 years before moving back home to Korea and playing for KT Rolster. His success continued and won the 2018 LCK Summer Split. He would spend a year on KING-ZONE-Dragon X before retiring in September of 2019

ADC Imp: Leaving for China, Imp went to LGD who famously won LPL but then bombed out of worlds in 2015. This would mark the beginning of a long decline for Imp. Having next to no success for the next few years. Until in 2019 when he led JD Gaming to a second place finish in the Spring Split of LPL, losing to the defending world champions, Invictus Gaming. This would be his last Hur-ah as at the end of 2019, Imp retired from pro play

Support Mata: The MVP of worlds 2014 was the most successful player of the 5 after leaving SSW. Like the others he went to China and actually joined Looper on RNG after a year on VICI gaming. After Worlds 2016 he went back to Korea to play for KT Rolster for the 2018 season. Then he went to SKT T1 to play alongside Faker and in 2019 came the closest to being a World Champion for a second time when SKT took 3rd-4th, losing to G2 in the Semi-Finals. He would announce his retirement in December 2019.

Just 5 years after winning the World Championships and being considered one of the greatest teams of all time, every member of SSW 2014 is now retired. Some had more success than others after leaving for China. But if this tells us anything, its just how short esports careers really are and how fast you can go from top of the world to irrelevancy.

I hope you enjoyed this little blast from the past!

my normal games are a lot more competitive and higher quality than my ranked games

i am only plat 3 top main and i have to say i play a lot more serious in my normal games than ranked, most of the time my ranked games has the people that never stop typing, the afk, the first time champ/role, the hardstuck idc anymore and the mega tilter who afk after 2 deaths.

but in my normal games man people don't type at all, i've checked if i am muting everyone or not but nope, they are all D4+ players with some plats and the infamous master/GM/challenger dude in normals and people actually listen to pings and use good macro to make plays instead of playing aram in mid lane after 15 min.

i am currently playing only normals since i believe it will make me improve in the game more than my solo queue games. and i know you might think hey in normals they won't try hard enough for you to learn or improve, but they actually do almost everygame 4 out of the 10 players are playing their OTP champ or their highest mastery, and the rest are not so far they are playing high mastery champs as well, you will find like 1 or 2 players max who are trying new things in normals at that mmr.
