Free Talk Tuesday - August 4th! Posted: 04 Aug 2020 01:19 AM PDT What's up, /r/leagueoflegends? IcyColdStare here with this week's edition of our Free Talk thread - hope you've all had a good weekend! The Spirit Blossom event is in full swing! With visual novel-esque dialogues, bone-crushing conversations and strangely-appropriate disrobing (yes, I'm serious) there's a ton of fun stuff to do with the Spirit Bonds section of the client! If you haven't read some of these interactions, I seriously recommend them - they're a treat to go through! I've gotten to S+ with Riven and Vayne so far - what about y'all? Speaking of the Spirit Blossom event - Yasuo 2: Electric Boogaloo aka Yone, The Unforgotten is making his way onto the Rift on the 6th! I can't wait to mess around with him once he hits live, as someone who loves champions who just bleed crazy complexity and combos he seems like he's right up my alley! What do you folks think about The Unforgotten? That's it from me for this week! Gonna toss that Swirlseed right over and let you peeps get to chattin'. Remember to abide by our FTT rules, of course; talk shop, play nice and as always, have a good week! [link] [comments]

Tryndamere stealing drake from top lane by attacking ulting Shen with Tiamat's AOE Posted: 04 Aug 2020 05:13 AM PDT How did this happen? What are the odds? I can't even comprehend how unlikely it is to actually do such a thing. I wonder how surprised the players actually were. [link] [comments]

Chatting is way more fun when you replace the champion names with what they are Posted: 04 Aug 2020 03:17 AM PDT You want your Yuumi to create a higher amount of vision for your team?
You want Wukong to help out on your lane while you recall?
You need an additional companion for doing Herald? Ask your toplane Nasus with a friendly
Your GP is a coward?
If there are multiple champions on your team that could fit into one category, you can prevent confusion by adding an additional qualifier. For example, if you have a Yuumi, Nida and Rengar (and don't know that Nida is a cougar), just say:
Similar stuff with humans wielding blades. If you can't call them with "swordsman", just use these:
And, of course:
Thanks for letting me waste your time and have fun with this exciting new way to communicate! internet plz approve EDIT: I can't believe I have to clarify this, but of course "ape" and "dog" can be interpreted as toxic, so don't say those to random teammates. You can now stop writing comments about this. [link] [comments]
The Odyssey Event some years ago had the best Event Rewards. Posted: 04 Aug 2020 07:06 AM PDT This is something that recently came into my mind when looking back at all the Events. For those that are not familiar: The Odyssey Event consisted of a skin line along with a new Gamemode where you had several missions tied to it. The Gamemode was PvE oriented and the goal was to defeat several enemies and a Boss in a team consisting of five champions with new unique aspects called Augment. Sona for example could take an Augment that would let her shoot her Ultimate in a more or less circle. There was no limitation when it came to Champion Combination and as such, you could have practically went 5 Sonas for example. This Gamemode had a mission line that was available to everyone, as frequent Passes were not introduced yet. As such, you started with a small mission where you just had to finish the Introduction. After that, you had to continue with new difficulties such as Normal and Hard. However, there were also some very unique missions with great rewards attached to it. As far as I can remember, you had to clear one of the harder difficulties with a team consisting of only Sonas in order to get an Event Orb. The best mission line was the one that was attached to the Use of Augments. You had to clear the hardest difficulty with a limited amount of Augments. For example, the first mission in this line required the use of only 4 Augments or fewer in order to get the Reward of a Skin-Shard and Border. The most difficult mission only allows 2 Augments, but gave you a "Odyssey Gem" and a extremely rare Icon. The Gem is similar to the 1-3% Jackpots you receive nowadays when you open an Event Orb. The Gem gave you different options that you could turn it into, for example a Revel Bag that gave you a Skin Shard of every Rarity (520 to 1820) or a Birdie Bag that could give you the line-up of a Skin Series in the form of shards (All Pool-Party Skins for example). When doing all the missions, you receive: 1 Event Orb, 1 Mystery Emote, several Event Icons (different rarity), several Event Emotes (different rarity), Skin-Shard with a Border, Blue Essence, 1 Ward Skin and for those that finished the hardest mission, the Odyssey Gem. Of course you also received some Event Tokens both in the Gamemode and normal Summoners Rift, enough to craft several Borders or whatever you wanted from the Event shop by just playing the Game. Borders during these Event were 80 Tokens each and you got 300 I think just from playing. Even though the Gamemode was unpopular after just some time, it still had some great rewards attached to it, which made it feel like a real Event with Challenges. Nowadays, the Events are focussed around playing the Game, doing the requirements for the missions and then having enough Tokens for maybe 1 Border and some Keyfragments (Or paying for a Pass in order to get more tokens the more you play). I will try to win any argument you make about League, even if you’re obviously right. Posted: 04 Aug 2020 01:36 AM PDT Title says it all. I wanna test myself today, mainly because I'm bored. You can write any argument about anything that is related to League of Legends and I will try to either win the argument, or make you skeptical about yours. Give me your hardest ones and don't forget that this is supposed to be a fun thing. Don't make it a hate/offensive discussion! Let the games begin. [link] [comments]
I miss Trinimortal, one of the only Positive Yasuo mains this community ever had. Posted: 04 Aug 2020 11:38 AM PDT The man was hilarious, creative, talented, funny as hell, and had some amazing videos over on his YT channel. He wasn't a high elo guy, he was just your everyday goofball that liked his weeby champions and had fun with his friends. He wasn't some toxic over the top streamer that bullied kids by looking at their accounts through OPGG and talking shit to them. He just wanted big ass anime moments in his games, and I appreciate that. Hell, he even had his own "Story Arcs" in his videos about liking even more horrendous champions than Yasuo. He doesn't play League anymore, not for Yasuo, not for Yone, not even for Spirit Blossom which was a Goddammed Dating Sim Parody. He doesn't enjoy it, and it doesn't help his mental health, so he quit. Its a shame too. This community needs more personalities like his hitting the front page; every other day its Dom or TFBlade or Yasuo or some other Toxic streamer getting called out for some shit they've said. Where just some folks having fun? Isn't that the point of Video Games anyways? I just wanna say I miss the guy, I miss his humor, the energy and, for a time, the positivity he brought to this community. I'm happy he's not as stressed about this game by not playing it, but I miss you; you dancing goofball. :( [link] [comments]

Ezreal has now overtaken Miss fortune as the champion with the most skins. Posted: 04 Aug 2020 01:23 PM PDT So as we know, Miss fortune has 14 skins and currently has the most skins in the game. But with the new Ezreal skin accompanied with the Prestige, Ezreal now has 15 skins. Ezreal has taken the championship belt from Miss fortune and is now the champion with the most skin. Mordekaiser's Q is the most humiliating ability to die to. Posted: 04 Aug 2020 11:09 AM PDT Morde's Q is the perfect combination effects to make people feel like trash. The wind up hurts. You can see where it's gonna hit. You can see Morde wind the mace up ready to end your whole life. When it's coming it's inevitable and you have to sit there and watch yourself die to this slow ability. Then it comes. Resonating in your headset. "BONK" the sound of metal slapping your soul into dust. Morde's Q sounds like sound took an electric guitar made of metal and tore a riff while slamming their guitar into a tuning fork shaped like an enemy champion. You see the wind up and then you hear the sound and it's over. The worst part is the effects. His mace gets so big it looks like you're getting fly swatted. It looks like you're being deleted from the servers. And then the effects last so long, when you finally get to look at your dead character. You're either raw flattened on the ground or dissipated into thin air because the Q's visual effects last so long. When you get Q'd to death you're just gone. No death theatrics just raw deleted from the Rift. [link] [comments]
With the new PsyOPS skin line on the PBE, we now have 9 different tech/mech themes Posted: 04 Aug 2020 10:19 AM PDT Battlecast, Hextech, Mecha, Mecha Kingdoms, PROGRAM, Project, Pulsefire, Praetorian, and PsyOPS What do you guys want the 10th mech theme to be and also when do you think Riot will come up with something other than robot/light/dark/ice/space themed skins? Lore Power Level Analysis: Lillia, the Bashful Bloom Posted: 04 Aug 2020 03:25 PM PDT Well this got set back. What's up ladies and gentlemen, I am the one and only Hyper10sion! You might know me as the lore power levels guy. Today, YES TODAY, we take a look at the powers and abilities of the newest addition to the League of Legends roster, Lillia.
Lillia, the Bashful BloomMakeup/Background: Lillia is a nature spirit, what effectively amounts to a dryad from real world mythology. Her form is very similar to the mythical centaur, except with the bottom half of a deer rather than a horse. Given her lineage, she is technically the granddaughter of Ivern, as she is the child of a God-Willow seedling. Lillia was mostly kept away from the world of mortals, outside of viewing their dreams. Physically, Lillia is closest to a mix between spirit and a vastaya, and possesses no real notable qualities sans her deer-centaur status. Physical Abilities: Lillia's physical abilities are largely left unsaid in the content delivered thus far. However if we assume she has the same running speed as your average white tailed deer as a child, she's still capable of 48 kph top speed, or 30 mph for the Americans. She would also be able to leap about three meters in a single bound, around ten feet. Other than the simple fact of being half deer, Lillia is rather unremarkable physically, sans that atrocious accent. Magical Abilities: Magical prowess may be Lillia's strong suit, but there's a catch. We actually haven't been shown much of her overall power, but what we have been presented with is simple yet incredibly robust. Lillia can magically make those around her fall asleep, with no defined range. It is fair to assume that there is a small quantifiable limit to this power, but overall it doesn't change the useful skill. The other notable ability of Lillia is to cause short term memory erasure in those she has put to sleep. In combat, this could be absolutely devastating, confusing the enemy after rendering them unable to fight in the first place. These two abilities are the extent of her magical power we have seen used practically, but remain very powerful on their own. Weaknesses: Lillia appears to have the same physical weakness of most mortal creatures. She also is rather inexperienced in a combat setting, and fairly naive about most other sentient creatures. Feats: Lillia is a grandchild of the original God-Willow that Ivern combined with, has put numerous enemies to sleep in a sizable area all at once, and then wiped their memories of recent events in moments. Summary:Lillia is an interesting specimen as far as champions go. She's uplifted by the sheer amount of practical use in her two exhibited magical abilities, and has some physical specialties to boot. She seems to be a safe placement within the Magus tier. Tier: Magus
This was significantly delayed by a myriad of real life factors, apologies for that. I'm happy to get this finally out. I'll see you guys in the comments.
