Isn't Viktor skin very low effort compared to other skin releases this year? Posted: 29 Aug 2020 05:43 AM PDT I'm not a Viktor main and I'm speaking just as a spectator, but the skin feels weird to me. While it's true that champions with low playrate aren't getting love from Riot because they're not profitable, aren't other champions that didn't receive a skin for ages a bit better? Kindred, Xerath, Zyra, Cassiopeia, even Zilean got visually cool skins and a nice new theme. But Viktor, being a cyborg, got a cyborg skin, and while visual effects for E and R are somewhat cool, the theme and the model feel a bit unimpressive and too similar to base skin (no special/different vibe), and those things on his head look like he headbutted a wall too many times (but there, it's even more subjective and I could be biased). Anyway, they didn't create an alternative fantasy, but rather revisited his original theme (but I think Creator Viktor already cover this and in a better way), and at this point, that could have been a cool base skin visual update. So, I'm not saying Riot put no effort or didn't care, but the skin feels somehow uninspired, and I know you could say it's already enough that an unpopular champion got a skin, but looking at stunning Kindred and Cassiopeia, it isn't true that they have to be low effort. So I don't understand why some low effort champs get more and some others get less. I hope the Ashe/Senna ADC meta doesn't make it into Worlds. Posted: 29 Aug 2020 02:14 PM PDT Right now pro games have 3 carrys and two supports, both in the botlane. Other than Ashe R, ADC pro players are unable to make plays, nor to express their skill other than with positioning. The best play they can make is to not die. They are supports, not carrys, as Perkz said in a recent interview. Cait was a different story but she's now nerfed. Other ADCs are buffed in 10.17-18, but I just hope it's enough to let ADCs have clutch moments at Worlds, because Ashe/Senna hardly allows that. Monster champs aren't unpopular because they're ugly Posted: 29 Aug 2020 04:35 PM PDT They're unpopular because their kit usually sucks or is really clunky and weird like Ivern or Asol. Thresh is a monster, but he's the most popular support because of how fun he's to play and how impactful his kit is. Fizz is a popular midlaner and he's a fucking fish. Why? Because he's got a fun assassin kit where he can oneshot people while dodging everything. Malphite is apparently really popular in China and he's just a rock. That rock however is hard to do bad on and every time your Ult is off CD you get to delete the backline.
