You would get short teasers, maybe a small cinematic trailer, animated login screens and music to complement it. I truly miss those days. I've been playing since just after Yasuo came out, and seeing that animated login screen was so cool. Even other exclusive things like the release of Xayah and Rakan. Having two champions release at the same time for the same lane felt like the game completely changed. Even the simple character designs of having kindred have a partner while still being one champion or the unique mechanics with champions like Ekko or Taliyah. Even though we do get more coverage nowadays for new champions, most of it is leaked beforehand or there isn't as much hype or content to hype up release. Granted champions have more of an identity and it seems like riot is focusing more on their story in the runeterra universe but a bit of nostalgia would be nice [link] [comments] | ||

| RIOT finally rewarded Bin's Fiora-Pentakill with a chest and key Posted: 05 Nov 2020 03:07 PM PST It seems like RIOT finally rewarded those who watched live how Bin had the first Pentakill in a World's final with a Chest and Key. With almost a Week delay and many Posts on social media about this issue, this feels like "oops yeah we kinda forgot about rewards", but at least it is here. | Posted: 05 Nov 2020 09:03 AM PST The new Pre-Season is coming, and with the item rework there will be tough times. Many players will get confused and will probably hate the changes. But remember that these changes are what keeps League alive, and what makes every season unique. Let's take some time to appreciate the changes made in past pre-seasons that made the game essentially better, even those that may have been hated upon when they were new. Even if the game may feel frustrating at first, it generally turns the game into a good direction. Balancing may take some time, and bugs will arise, but it will settle and we'll realize how good some changes were. Remember that the game designers, developers and everyone involved in the game are persons as well, and may make some mistakes. Giving feedback is fine, and is probably what made the game what it is today, but harassing or personally attacking developers will never serve any purpose. Remember to give constructed feedback! I made this list of (what I see as) the best things every pre-season (or mid-season) brought and how they made the game better, funnier or turned into a healthier meta.
