Posted: 20 Jan 2021 04:22 AM PST I don't know about the other tank players out there, but as someone who traditionally is a big fan of playing tanks (Zac, Sejuani, Rammus etc.), this season's felt a little weird. I can build Sunfire Aegis and get a ton of damage and CDR... great... in the mid game there's a period of time where I can pretty much 100-0 squishy champions in my cc rotation, but once my damage falls off I just feel like paper. A lot of tank legendary items feel so much worse to build than their old counterparts (ie. Randuins) and especially MR itemization is a god damn disaster. If the enemy has an AP mage building Liandry's it feels like you need 2 dedicated MR items just to tank 1 champion's damage alone. It's weird that champions like Aatrox, Olaf, Renekton can genuinely fulfill my role--that is soaking damage--better than I can. Do any other tank players feel the same way this season, or is it just me? Edit: Sort of a late edit, but a lot of people took this post to the extreme and interpreted it as wanting tanks to do 0 damage and become literally unkillable. Don't take these numbers seriously, it's just an example for sake of argument, but: if they did -20% damage and +20% tankyness, would they do so little damage that you could walk past them and ignore them? Generally my biggest complaint is to the itemization changes to tanks. A lot of stats were removed from popular tank items (ie. Abyssal Mask, Randuins HP, FH armor, Dead Man's armor) or popular items were removed altogether from our pool (Locket, Adaptive Helm). submitted by /u/Ambushes [link] [comments]

Karthus Q Buffering is dead on the newest patch, making the champion feel extremely clunky and broken. Posted: 20 Jan 2021 07:25 PM PST A few weeks ago, when Viego first went live on the PBE, I noticed that Karthus Q had it's buffering removed. If you aren't familiar, buffered spells allow you to 'cast' the spell again while it's on cooldown, allowing it to immediately cast when it leaves CD. This is an extremely helpful mechanic to any champion with very low ability cooldowns, and is present on other battlemages like Cassiopeia and Ryze. If you're asking why, Q buffering was removed in an attempt to fix Karthus leaving fountain before 15 seconds, a very prominent bug for a while, even resulting in Karthus taking 1st place for 'fastest death in a game.' It was fixed, but it was fixed at the cost of his usability as a champion. I've sent in bug reports for the PBE, got into contact with a few developers and famous bugsplatters like u/Caenen_, and hoped for the best. Lo and behold, exactly what I feared.
