I have over 9 years of experience in League Of Legends now, playing professionally from before season 1 till season 6. As an experiment, I'd like to coach 2 people every Tuesday 2 PM CET for free. What I will provide as a coach: It depends on what you want, but the basic things would be one of these. Watch a replay of your game and I make it a VOD on youtube that you can watch whenever you want. Talk over your game on stream with you on voice. Go through a VOD of a high level player and talk about the way he plays with you on voice. I am obviously most efficient at coaching top laners, but I wouldn't mind trying to coach people of all lanes. I want people to send applications to my email so that I can prepare the coaching in advance. For example let's say somebody wants coaching on Kha'Zix jungle. Posted: 25 Oct 2019 07:28 AM PDT Got autofilled ADC and I figured I'd give her a try and god fucking damn it, I can't move to lane without her attempting to recite the entire Hamlet to me. Like, her voice over have always been mediocre, but at least her voice lines weren't very long so it'd only annoy you once every 20 seconds or so. But now? Fuck that. Somehow the character with the most boring personality was also given the longest voice-lines in the game while walking around in a bikinicloak thingie despite being from Coldest place in Runeterra. I miss back when she only said "Wise Choice" when you picked her in Champion Select. Her voice was a lot more tolerable back then. Also, Base Udyr still looks like a Tent. [link] [comments] | ||

| The word "inting" has lost its original meaning Posted: 25 Oct 2019 09:48 AM PDT I just want to make a point here about language in LoL, which I think is a huge part of the negative and positive aspects of this game, and we all should agree to use the correct words to express certain concepts. "Inting" was a word originally used to describe someone that is, as the word specifically says, intentionally dies throughout the course of a game, feeding the enemy team and basically trolling. This is a behavior that we still see from time to time (I'm a EUW player), but nowadays the word inting is used universally in a lot of contexts where it's original definition does not apply. Lately, I've been really worried for the use of this word, which now just means "dying". When you die because you facecheck a brush without vision, you are inting. When you position yourself wrong in a teamfight focusing the enemy tank, you are inting. Now, even when you miss a cannon creep under turret you are inting. Inting is now the joker for all undesired outcomes in a game, and can be used no matter the context. The real problem started when streamers, influencers and proplayers started using the word left and right. Especially, when proplayers started saying: "Well, my jungler was inting that game", was when I started being worried about this topic. There is no way that a professional player in a competitive match in Worlds is intentionally dying, however, he could be making some mistakes and dying, or feeding the enemy team, but those words are not used anymore. I decided to make this post after listening to Divephoria (Worlds group stage episode 2019), because now even the desk analyst are saying inting = dying, and this is certainly not right. I'm aware that the vocabulary used is heavily influenced by the common player practices, but this has a hidden message that is dangerous: If you make any mistake, in any situation, you are intentionally losing the game and that is not allowed in LoL, which greatly differs from the Make mistakes --> Improve aspect of the game. This is even more a problem when we have a report selection which is "Intentionally feeding the enemy team", which now has no true meaning because inting is used literally everywhere, and therefore, the true "inters" that we have in-game are more rarely punished, as it has been post previously. I hope that we, as a community, understand the implications of our language, and how it can heavily influence the mentality of our players. I'm sure that we can make an effort to call every thing by its true name, because we all make mistakes. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 25 Oct 2019 01:58 PM PDT I was flying home from my friend's wedding this past weekend and while standing in line to get on the plane (never fly Spirit btw). While walking to my gate I noticed there was someone walking with the official challenger backpack! I tried to get a clear picture of it while walking but trying to look sneaky and get a non-blurry picture was hard: https://i.imgur.com/QL5PoAY.jpg HOWEVER funny enough we actually flew on the same flight and he was in front of me when we were boarding the plane (Atlantic City's Airport is really small)! Some look really cool, some look OK, some match our main champion/icon. It really sucks when you get a cool level 300 border* that matches your main champion and your favourite icon and it only lasts 25 levels before you're suddenly a poser Zaunite. *(https://leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/Experience_(summoner)?file=Level_300_Summoner_Icon_Border.png) because I don't understand formatting when a url has brackets Anyway, I don't even play Diana, but that's one of the good combos. The point is, your level border should be a reward to customize your profile, not a reward to...exist whether you want it or not. I already know this is a popular opinion, and it has been since level borders came out. However, Riot isn't making it happen and people might forget that Riot does take user input.
