YamatoCannon: "Broxah has president of the player association energy"

    Posted: 29 Jun 2020 07:05 AM PDT

    https://mobile.twitter.com/YamatoMebdi/status/1277587638665359362

Considering the fact that the player association is filled with TSM members, I think they could use a fresh face to avoid situations like Dardoch's. I don't know who is in charge of selecting the members of the PA, or if Broxah is even eligible due to being an import and/or having so few splits in the LCS, but I think we can agree he's very respected in the community and would work towards having the players' opinion be heard on important matters!

Nastiest Katarina dagger setup you'll ever see

Fiddlesticks has the FASTEST level 3 clear in the game, hitting it in just 35 seconds at 2:05. He can also 6-camp + Scuttle by 3:24. Here's how.

    Posted: 29 Jun 2020 07:38 AM PDT

    https://youtu.be/IADICa4wdjg

I've made a video to show you how to do this, down to the precise locations where you have to stand to not reset your camps.

Thank you to u/Zeddit_B for this screenshotted cheatsheet of where to click:

    Blue Team: https://ibb.co/k46wjXV

    Red Team: https://ibb.co/Pc70C80

When Fiddlesticks came out, people found out he could double-clear multiple camps, due to his insane multi-target healing. You may have seen Fiddlesticks double-clear Red and Raptors, or Blue and Gromp. Maybe you've even seen a video where he double-clears Wolves and Blue.

I didn't invent this clear, but the videos and guides currently on YouTube seem to rely on intuition and feel. Nobody seems to be able to this consistently, as not even FearTheSticks, a high ELO Fiddlestick main, uses this Wolf-start clear: he says it is too unreliable to pull off and too risky.

But I've gotten it down to a science, and I can now complete it with 100% accuracy, and you can too with some practice. And I've showcased how to do it on BOTH TEAMS, since a ton of the other videos can't consistently pull it off on red team, since it's less lenient on that side.

Now this bears repeating: this clear allows you to clear your entire blue side jungle in 35 seconds, by 2:05. I'm pretty sure that's a faster level 3 than any other Champion in the game, and if you choose not to full clear, you can also gank with your full kit available, or counterjungle unexpectedly.

One final note is that this clear even saves your 2nd Smite for Scuttle, and if you use your E>Q>AA>Smite>W combo, you can actually oneshot Scuttle in that single rotation.

    Hope this is helpful!

Roster Changes for 100 Thieves League of Legends | The Heist

    Posted: 29 Jun 2020 12:59 PM PDT

I think my biggest problem with the LCS is that I no longer enjoy the cast.

    Posted: 29 Jun 2020 10:46 AM PDT

This could be a personal gripe, but many of my friends feel similarly, and I think the rise in popularity of costreaming shows that this isn't an isolated occurrence.

I think there are two big factors here. First, being jaded from listening to the same casters for so long. Second, that I simply don't trust most of the casters to be accurate.

Let's start with the first point. I have been watching the LCS since it started in spring 2013, I watched through the super week era, Bo3 format, and most international games, so I have been listening to the same casters for a long time. Phreak, Kobe, and Riv have been casting for longer than I've been watching and honestly I'm probably jaded. But I think that's why so many people love CaptainFlowers and Dash, because they were fresh voices that brought so much to the cast. Dash in particular made the analyst desk something I would actively tune into watch, but the lack of casters, notably color casters has really hurt.

As for the second point, let's talk about what I mean by trust. Let's look at a few examples to create a definition. If I'm watching the LEC and a game is looking like it's set up to be a "Fiesta" or overly silly, I really don't want Ender casting, because I don't trust him to not go overboard. However, I think he's amazing on the analyst desk and works really well with Quickshot because he is given stats that he analyzes and breaks down into very digestible and accurate points.

Another example is PapaSmithy. The LCK English broadcast is really a niche show, and he was aware of this. The target audience is engaged pro lol fans that wanted more competitive content, but likely were unfamiliar with full LCK history. It was always obvious that Papa was aware of this. A moment that really stuck out to me was in a GenG game, where Ambition comes for a gank as Gragas and ends up just sorta pushing the wave. He takes this moment that most would just call out as a failed gank, and relates it to Meteos' jungle Nasus in S3. He highlighted the merit of what seemed like a bad play and tied it into a story that he knew his viewers would be aware of. Moments like that continually reaffirmed my trust in his game knowledge.

To me the LCS cast feels directionless, a lot of the calls are just stating the numbers on screen, or really just saying things that aren't right. I think this in part also ties into the observers and graphics team. It feels like any game I watch in the LEC the staff is prepared. Soraka becomes meta and day 1 they have a graphic ready highlighting the build paths. MarkZ has been begging for Wukong all split, it gets picked and then there's nothing to be said about it. The LEC observers feel like they're working with the casters as they casters call out certain things to be highlighted, or they show things that most people miss. Watching LCS I'm left wondering so many questions, a fight breaks out and an ADC doesn't have flash but we never saw it burned. There's a fight going on top but by the time the camera pans to it the fight is done already.

There's a lot of problems with the LCS and I feel like a lot of the production issued have been acknowledged, but to me the larger issue is that the actual show, that is the casted game, is not enjoyable to watch.

Edit: some people seem to interpret this as I want the casters to shit on the game all the time. I have watched a lot of bad league, and the LCS level of play has really only gone higher over the years. This isn't what this post is about, you can have interesting engaging shows even if the games are bad without calling everyone trash.

As a Darius main, I remain amazed as to how Nimbus Cloak has gone through this many patches without being addressed.

    Posted: 29 Jun 2020 07:43 AM PDT

An immediate speed boost whenever you use a summoner spell, scaling off CD duration, and empowering the two tools for mobility which makes Darius such a high priority threat in lane? This movement speed boost is ALSO amplified by Celerity. How can anyone pass this up? It becomes the best offensive, defensive, and overall neutral minor keystone in the game. It does what it does exceedingly well. It puts you even more ahead of the enemy when you need it to, and helps you not throw as much when you need it to. It's the reason he is able to turn ganks in his favor, why he can avoid ganks, and why he can force out Flash.

This also empowers a Jungler's Blue Smite too, unfortunately, but that's not the point of the post.

The fact that this combination turns immobile juggernauts into race car monstrosities is beyond my comprehension: the reason why everyone hates to play against Darius. If you Darius takes Ghost, he's going to take Nimbus Cloak. If he takes Nimbus Cloak, he's going to take Ghost. This essentially negates the most recent changes performed to Ghost, allowing him to catch players completely off guard, while saving his CC for when the summoner spells wear off.

I'll say this once, and I'll say it again. Darius is not a threat because his kit is just brimming with some ungodly, untapped potential ready to take over Summoner's Rift. Darius is a threat because he can run Ghost, Flash, and Sorcery second tree, while every other Top Lane is required to take Teleport.

    Posted: 29 Jun 2020 10:51 AM PDT

After about 7 years of League (and 1 permaban), here's what I've noticed/learned

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 11:31 PM PDT

    1. I have yet to see a smurf who bragged that he was a smurf, and was genuinely good at the game. The actual smurfs I saw weren't afraid to be stupid in game (Like someone selling all his lethality on rengar and going full ap once he get super fed)
    2. Some people are toxic dicks just because they like it. There's no reasoning about it, it just happens.
    3. For some reason, toxic players struggle really hard to reply to cringy responses (like "uwu daddy").
    4. When players get pissed, it doesn't matter if they're right or not. they'll want to report you. And if everyone ends up reporting you, you'll get a genuine punishment for something that may or may not be your fault. As such, its better to not even talk sometimes.
    5. Players will look for every reason to not blame themselves. Those who actually admit to their mistakes are those who are willing to learn.
    6. When you do it, its an outplay. When they do it, its "broken and unbalanced".
    7. Players who are fed have a higher chance of not suffering from reports.
    8. If you fail one xPeke, don't ever try it again in the same game. It won't work, and it'll only put you more behind.
    9. You will always be "bad" if you keep comparing elos. You won't ever reach "good" elo, be it plat, diamond, grandmaster, etc.
    10. Y'know that one gold person you have in your ranked game, despite everyone else being plat+? That one gold person is the scariest in that game.
    11. Lag is the most tilting thing in League. Not the champions, not the items, its being at constant 300 ping.
    12. Skins aren't really worth it unless you're one-tricking a champion.
    13. People keep thinking late game yasuo exists in early game, and as such, keep trying to go in early game.
    14. Brand, Zyra, Lux, Syndra, Heimerdinger, Taliyah, Viktor, Veigar, etc. They're all exactly the same champion with the exact same counters.
    15. there are 2 juggernaut kit styles. A. the Juggernaut who's kit is designed for them to survive. B. The Juggernaut who's kit is designed for them to as much damage before dying. The Majority of juggernauts fall into the B catagory.
    16. No matter how much fun you have with the game right now, it'll never top the first 2 weeks ofwhen you first found/played LoL.
    17. Its far more fun to say you're bad, as opposed to continuously saying you're good.
    18. League may be the best MOBA on the market, but there are so many games that are better than LoL.

Opinion: Since Riot is reworking items, they should rethink CDR acessibility.

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 09:14 PM PDT

With items today 40% CDR is so easy to obtain, some give 10% and others 20%. It is a stat that impacts the game so much but everyone can always build it without giving up something.

Shouldn't it be a choice? You rather go tanky or damage or CDR or movement speed, etc. But not all of those. There should be tradeoffs.

They even have a rune that converts extra CDR into damage because they know everyone builds it. Sure they want fast paced games, they are more fun, but damn...

So, after all that said, I just think they should rethink the way CDR is built and what we are giving up for it.
