| Old man reaches plat after 7 years of trying Posted: 02 Aug 2020 08:30 AM PDT So, dementia may take me due to lack of sleep but I am plat now. 7 years later. Age of 50. Sona support. Most of the time.
Oh I've tried before. Many times. I've been on fake vacations, invented fake projects, called in sick, you name it. All to find the few precious hours to climb. All between work, family, and metas.
This road to platinum has been littered with disconnects, placements in bronze, forfeits, afks, whiners and primadonnas, horrible duos, farming junglers and self professed diamond smurfs. I've been called most about everything, and I've written most about everything in return.
In short: I've played this stupid addictive wonderful game since S3 and been hardstuck gold. Getting plat is quite an achievement for me! In the final summing up of my life (which you start doing at 50) I rank it highly, very highly. It is up there with my kids, getting a drivers license, my carreer, building a house, and exotic sex.
Everyone that has really played this game with the intention of climbing know what I am talking about. It is a grind.
Also, I obviously have no one to brag about it to besides this subreddit.... so yeah gl hf

There's this brazilian content creator called streamie that leaked Lillia, Yone and Spirit Blossom before there was any confirmation on anything; in this video she describes Lillia and Yone's splash arts to a t before there were any reveals, she also mentions "a Thresh legendary skin that transforms him into a human" before Spirit Blossom Thresh was revealed. She claims that she got all that information from a Rioter she's friends with and it's also believed she's the one that leaked all the Spirit Blossom splash arts along with Lillia and Yone's but that is unconfirmed. Anyways, she's back again with 3 different leaks this time. I'll be putting them in spoilers for people that don't want to have upcoming content potentially ruined.
In this video she says she has seen an upcoming LoR cinematic for Targon that features Diana along a Solari boy and a Lunari girl that are in a forbidden romantic relationship. This could be true because we know that Targon is an upcoming region in Legends of Runeterra and when Bilgewater was released Riot released a Bilgewater cinematic alongside it.
In this video and in this tweet she mentions a new skinline that "will make the gays very happy". People are speculating a return of the Star Guardian skinline but not much is known about this since she mentions it's a new skinline. She says she believes this release will happen on this week's PBE.
In this video she claims she has seen Samira's art and abilities. She says she doesn't think Samira is coming to the PBE this week but rather in two weeks (so patch 10.18). She also claims that something about Samira is very "jawdropping" and that there's a very specific thing people are saying about Samira that is completely wrong. Finally in this tweet she mentions that she'll go into detail about all three leaks during her livestream today (happening in around 40 minutes from me posting this). This obviously raises the question of how this random brazilian streamer gets so much insider info and how Riot hasn't been able to figure out who is leaking stuff to her. I'm also personally annoyed that she takes so much pride on leaking stuff to the point that she's gaining views/streams/profits off of it. EDIT: Updates from her stream. Will be adding updates as she reveals more stuff. EDIT II: Reorganized/added stuff to make the post easier to read.
Leona is also there. Many "glances" that will lead viewers to theorize about Diana and Leona's relationship and past but won't openly confirm it. The solari boy and lunari girl are new characters that will possibly become cards for Legends of Runeterra. The solari boy looks like Phoenix from Valorant. The lunari girl is really short and has white hair, she said she kinda looks like the woman with a white braid from this Braum cinematic but younger and shorter.
She said that a rough visual for how Samira looks is the combination of this and this Miss Fortune skin but with less clothes. She also has a holster on her legs to hold her weapons. She said that Samira is basically a "female Rambo but hot" and has a guerrilla vibe. Samira has 2 main weapons, a pistol and a dagger. She also has a machine gun that she uses for her ultimate ability. Her daggers look like Katarina's but longer. Her attacks alternate between her pistol and dagger. The thing most people have wrong about Samira is that she's not from Noxus but rather from Shurima. Samira has an ability that deflects or protects her from damage in some way, similar to Irelia's W. Samira's ultimate is a combination of Katarina's R, Urgot's R and Nunu's R. She'll start spinning and shooting bullets from her machine gun as well as throw multiple daggers. Her ultimate will have a "style meter" depending on how many enemies she's hitting with it or how many champions she kills with it. It has a "rose" motif, the rose has 5 petals and "blooms" when she's hitting all 5 enemy champions. Samira has a simple kit and is easy to play. She's flashy but she's not complicated. She will be extremely popular, strong and will sell a lot of skins. She vaguely mentions something about Samira having guns in her shoes but isn't too specific/clear about it.
She said the new skinline is related to these icons that were found on PBE files. Sona will be the headliner for the "Psy Ops" skinline and she'll be a legendary-tier skin. Psy Ops is a new "mecha" skinline that is based on "psychic androids" she said it has alien technology vibes. The main color palette is gray-ish. Sona's lore in this specific alternative universe has something to do with her being kidnapped as a child because of her psychic abilities. Along with the legendary-tier skin that will most likely have new voice lines, Sona's classic voicelines will be updated, removing all mention of the "summoners" since they no longer exist in the lore. She mentioned that she doesn't know what other champions will be in the Psy Ops skinline and she doesn't know if Samira will be part of it. Sona is the character/skin that will make "the gays very happy" but she later said that it could also make "many gays mad". She says it'll be divisive like Pool Party Syndra in the sense that some people will like it while others will be disappointed it wasn't something else like Star Guardian.
She claims the next champion after Samira is called "Seraphine". From the champion roadmap it's heavily implied that after Samira we're getting a new musical-theme midlane mage. | My Father plays LoL, his life changed (Story) Posted: 02 Aug 2020 04:32 PM PDT Hey Guys and Supports My dad started to play League of Legends, he never played a game like LoL and is completely new in this typ of genre. i build him a PC with my own money so he can get a Smooth experience (Amd 2600x / RX590) with a 24inch screen, Logitech G Pro Wireless and a Mechanical Keyboard He is 54 Y/o and loves to play Olaf... in Mid, i told him he is Jungle or Top but he do pretty good against Bots, i told him the basics about the game (Farming, Items Build, Runes and look at map every 10 seconds for potential enemy ganks or get a clue what happen on the Map). I myself i am a Plat Player (Quinn Top) i did a new account we started together, i downloaded him Blitz App for easier Rune management and item pathing, after arround 20 Days we both hit Lv30, he was ready for Ranked, sure not, i dont tryharded bc i would boost him and that is not my plan he should learn to accept loses and get wins by himself or team play. (I played champs i never played) We both got placed Iron, after 4month he grind lonley, he reached Gold with Olaf mid with 52% Winrate and he fround a new champs he like yeah it is... freaking Yasuo.. im dying inside. i was playing Gragss/Sett Top/Jungle and he Olaf Yas mid, if he get Yas i go Gragas, we climbed very fast, and he reached Platin after 5/6 Month after he first time installed the Game. Yeah, a 54 Old Dude overtaked my 10years experience in LoL. But why i write that down? My Father had a hard life, he got kicked arround as Kid, he telling lies to stay relevant, bc he never achieved something in his life, he gave up, even with his Wife (He got 3 Children, My sis 28, my brother 25 and me 23 he got knived down by her, he got beaten up by her and got poised. he lost all his teeth because of that that with 40/45yo. i remember everything i was 5/6yo there. they divorced and she moved away, but she came back (2 blocks away) She had drug issue, my father tried to help her, but she had bad friend that had tried to run over my dad when he was bicycle... Years later she was found death in her kitchen by me and my older bother (we was forced to meet her every weekend) my dad broke, he goes completely inside never talked, he lied about her death, never showed emotion. He got aggressive against me and my brother and beat us up, but i never gave up, years later i grow at got stronger than him, we had fight he was still broken, he can't get over it. my bother and me talked to him, about mom... first time we saw him cry in our lives, but only short time he was back to normal. months later i had an idea, he was only watching TV and did nothing. I gave him a Smarthphone and going outside with him playing PokemonGO he was happy, me too. then i safe up some money and build him a computer, bc he was interested in LoL... he played it and he was happy, he was smiling, beside he played bf/cod but he start to maining LoL. He got back to happiness and grow like a child to 18yo, he found out he can meet people, chat with them, talk with them and have friends, but he was afraid to reveal is real age, but i pushed him to say it and ding, another lady was, 10y younger an interested, and 750km away, they met and got good friends, because of League of Legends he got a new and better life. idk if they are dating, because is fresh and they met second time last week. he is happy im happy, my grandma is super happy 😊 if u have a dad or a mom thats lonley just maybe talk to them, if they little bit intested in Gaming invited them to your room let them watch over their shoulder, theyll be happy that their child doing something with them. He still plays lol, different Champions, and his new Girlfriend (not confirmed) playing alldaylong, idk my dad is like a teenager now 😅😁 He is close to reach high plat, he overtake me, but only bc he plays more than me (yeah yeah excuse) I would post his op.gg so he can get more people for his FL, but he said he is afraid about people that troll him. ik my English isnt the best, but i wanted to share the Story, and maybe someone have parents that are interested and u get a new and better relationship with them :) if s1 is interested in updates, i can do it. She was not bad before but riot sometimes get these "urges" to buff characters that are already picked a considerable amount to just push them into being broken. | PSA: Event Passholders - You may not be receiving all of your Spirit Blossom Tokens. Posted: 02 Aug 2020 06:11 PM PDT I noticed last Monday that I wasn't receiving TFT tokens. Now normally, TFT tokens will not be rewarded until after the game FULLY ends (whether you are in the game or have already left the game). In my case, this was a problem on Riot's end. I submitted a ticket to tell them about this and they granted 24 of my missing tokens. I have confirmed on my end I'm missing for sure 50 tokens, but perhaps even more (as many as 100 now). If I hadn't noticed this, this number would most definitely be higher by now. I made this post to warn others that their TFT games may not be fully counting so that hopefully they will not fall victim to this issue. It took me around 11 replies and 3 support employees on my support ticket to get the tokens. While this amount of tokens may not be a lot, I was determined to at least find out why this was happening. 50 tokens is still a few hours of work and I wanted what I had paid for. edit:(Also to clarify, I only received 24 out of the 50 confirmed missing) If you want proof you may read the ticket, but I have edited out the support employee's names. If there's too much for you to read, read the last two images. I was thoroughly disappointed with how they handled it (I also am disappointed that I handled this like an angry Karen too but I was getting really frustrated). | Client settings and skins preferences on champions keep resetting Posted: 02 Aug 2020 08:42 AM PDT This issue started happening a few days ago, each time I logged on it would give me notifications and popups which one would get if they had reinstalled the client e.g. clash, flex queue change, stats page 2020 etc. Also client settings reset to default and the skins I put on champions reset to the default selection in champion select. It's kind of annoying, is there any solution for this? I've never encountered this problem before and have been playing league for years. [link] [comments] |
