    EDIT: Riot announcement regarding Clash:

[LoL-EUW/EUNE] Due to issues with EU network and servers, we will be canceling the remainder of Clash games for today and resume tomorrow. Tickets will be refunded for tournament teams that did not complete.

Issues with both Clash and ranked on EU servers.

As a side not, please just stop posting about it whenever server issues happen. From a quick look we've removed over 150 posts in the last 45 minutes. There is already a post on the front page, and there is no need for more of them or death threats directed at Riot over it.

The "Mundo goes where he pleases" quote must be kept at all costs . if they don't keep it, we'll have to riot. By far, it is the best quote in the entire game ,and embodies what it means to play Mundo. It would be deeply saddening if it were removed. Thanks, and god bless the doctor.

Duskbringer Kindred skin concept by Mihai Chis.

Duskbringer Kindred skin concept by Mihai Chis.

Hello, this is my Duskbringer Kindred skin idea (alternatively, Equilibrium Kindred).

Kindred is my favourite champion in League of Legends and I wanted to make a skin for them for so long so here it is!
Before Dawnbringer Riven and Nightbringer Yasuo came to be, there was an entity in the empty void. Similar to kindred's lore, that entity split itself in two, causing the divergence of chaos and order. Duskbringer Kindred is the primordial being in this skin-line universe, keeping the balance of order and chaos. With their birth, remnants of order and chaos eventually formed the Yasuo and Riven skins, who were destined to battle. Kindred, the ubiquitous pair, waited patiently, observing the final outcome.

    Final Design

    In game view

    Passive

    Basic Abilities

    Ultimate.

When casting the ultimate, Kindred switches forms. They start the game with Lamb order and Wolf chaos and after casting the ultimate, Lamb becomes chaos and wolf becomes order. Casting the ultimate again will bring them to their starting form and so on.

This is my ArtStation post where I posted my works in progress and other design concepts of the skin that I had along the way.

Known Dark Star Cho'Gath bug, still not fixed

This bug has been in the game for at least 2 months, and it seems to be well known among people who play with this skin. Dark Star Cho'Gath is supposed to have 3 different forms as he gains stacks, but it's not working as intended. He's staying on his first form even with 16 stacks. Please fix this.

    How it's supposed to look

16 stacks, no new details, no spikes on the tail, just grew bigger.

Minion block is cancer that needs to be reworked desperately.

    Posted: 16 Jan 2021 09:34 AM PST

There is nothing that makes me tilt harder than walking into a minion wave and finding the only way to get out is to flash.

Simply you should always be able to push minions in your path but it should apply like a 60% slow whole youre colliding with minions. This would still give a very large advantage to champions/abillities/items that have ghosting but take this insanely unpredictable and frustrating mechanic out of the game.

Interesting analysis of the usage of ADC Mythics in proplay and big conclusions.

    Posted: 16 Jan 2021 06:05 AM PST

I've analysed the usage ratios of the 3 ADC Mythics in proplay so far this season (major regions only). The results are very interesting and suggest that Riot could be going in the wrong direction.

Here is my simple chart: https://imgur.com/R1KFdlI

    Conclusions from this:

    • ADCs don't have 3 Mythic items, they have only 2. Then Samira, Yasuo and Yone have their exclusive Mythic that's only good on them.
    • Galeforce is ahead of Kraken Slayer, but maybe not by that much. Jhin is meta, has insane synergy with Galeforce and can't function with Kraken Slayer. Without Jhin, Galeforce's playrate would be much closer to Kraken's. Also, Shieldbow is a bad item now, when conceptually it should counter Galeforce's burst. When Shieldbow is buffed, Galeforce won't feel as good at least in botlane fights.
    • Galeforce is getting a fat CD nerf next patch (60->90s dash CD), but this is NOT the nerf it needs: it wont affect proplay since they rarely fight twice in under 90 seconds anyways (they usually fight every 5 minutes around objectives). Instead, it will gutter Galeforce in SoloQ, where ADCs already struggle to keep up with the skirmish-heavy games, where it sits at 52% wr like most completed Mythics (per leagueofgraphs). We already played 90s CD Galeforce before and it felt awful. The entire SoloQ ADC playerbase is gonna be left with 1 Mythic item by patch 11.2.

    Solutions for these issues:

    • Nerf Galeforce's burst damage instead of its CD, this won't gutter it for SoloQ, and it preserves its mobility identity (whereas Kraken and Shieldbow focus on raw combat stats).
    • Buff Shieldbow once and for all, it's currently a troll buy for non-Samira ADCs. This will slightly nerf Galeforce too. Worried about Samira? Apply a compensation nerf. Worried about Yasuo/Yone/GP/Trynd? Buff it for ranged only.

ADCs are enjoying smoother build paths and DPS this season, but their Mythic variety of choice is bad and it's only about to get worse in 11.2. My 2 proposed solutions should fix this, what do you guys think?

To Be An Old Player In LCK [Faker, Khan, Rascal]

    Posted: 16 Jan 2021 08:05 AM PST

After the issue of Faker being benched, Rascal's and Khan's interview regarding old players in LCK, H-Dragon and NoFe's comments about Faker and Deft, an interesting article was published in Korea.

With LCK's franchising, a lot of old players have retired in the last few months. The article writes that a number of retired pros revealed that the atmosphere around them was "chilly/cold". Even if their form was fine mostly, just making one mistake made them live under the assumption that these players are not able to play in a good form anymore because of their "old" age. People surrounding these old players would tell them "We hope you can become a bridge for the new generation to take over the old one", and with these words would limit these veteran players' possibilities just based on their age. Under such scrutinizing gaze these players had to accept retirement.

Rascal has recently said in an interview "After the end of 2020 season I saw retirement of many veteran players. But it seemed that the old players retired with a cold reception. This year I would like to perform well in order to change the existing perception about old players. That's why I am aiming to do even better."

After the match against T1, Khan said in an interview that he was happy with his performance that day, because it seemed that he showed that old players are still able to perform well. He was also happy with Faker's performance and said he believes both of their performances showed that "old" players are still good.

On a recent twitch stream between NoFe, H-Dragon, and Wink, NoFe and H-Dragon made comments regarding Deft and Faker respectively, which brought a lot of criticism. NoFe's comment about Deft said that if Deft didn't do well this season then it's time to retire.

H-Dragon regarding Faker said [paraphrased]: If I was close to Faker there is an advice that I would like to give him. I am sure Faker would be embarrassed if he became the starting member even though his skills are not enough. As a senior he should help Clozer to become his "heir". I would tell Faker to give an interview and tell his fans that he is doing his best right now, but even if he isn't able to become a starting member, his fans should still cheer for T1.

The veteran players of LCK and the treatment they get from the league itself and the fans is being brought under discussion. Many are asking why should the veteran players help the new players when they are competing with each other (for starting position, for a match point, for a title), why should it be the veteran players' responsibility to raise the new generation to "inherit" their positions and popularity. Faker's fans are asking, why should Faker help raise the "post-Faker", the "2nd Faker", the "Faker's heir".

Is a superstar made or born?

The "old" pros of LCK are always under high scrutiny. They are perceived as having a lesser mechanical skills compared to the new players, every mistake they make is tied to their age, they are expected to help and raise the rookies, but they are also expected to be the "brains" of the teams, expected to always make clutch plays, and are always expected to come to rescue for the new players.

Is age really a big factor that influences the skill of the pros, or is it just a frame? Should the old players be only seen as bridges for the new players and not as players who could bring great results themselves?

Edit: A comment from a fan

"There is no rookie in the world who is worth to raise by sacrificing Faker's time"

Edit 2: Cuvee about old players "There is this player who is old, but is still a pro? That means he is smart.

Look at Khan. He is one year older than me and is still a pro? Means he is a very smart person.

When pros get more experienced, their physical might fall but their experience makes up for it.

Faker is the same age as me, but he is just doing really well right now right? It means he is smart. Just knowing so is enough."
