I didn't grind the 100 prestige points for Prestige Nightbringers Lee Sin's neck to look like this.

    Posted: 22 Jan 2020 06:32 AM PST

It's insulting and makes me want to not play it ever again. Is Riot willing to fix this?

For clarifying: the non-prestige version has a collar that hides the neck so it doesn't look that bad, just longer than usual, but to make the prestige version they just removed it, leaving a pretty weird long neck that isn't even supposed to be visible.

    -Sick dodging skills.

-Gets people killed, and never from his own team.

-Has legs as sexy as Rek sai's

    -Double the amount, too

-Stays near drake and baron when needed.

-Gives less gold than the 0/3/2 warwick.

    -Never dies on a dive.

-Walks through walls instead of flashing into them.

Co-Streaming Pilot Program: 2020 LCS Spring Split

    Posted: 22 Jan 2020 01:01 PM PST

Apparently Zven wanted to leave TSM one year ago with Mithy, but TSM decided to kick Mithy and keep Zven. He also wanted to play with Akaadian whole split, because he though summer split isn't good for experimenting.

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 11:18 PM PST

Yesterday in Summoning Insight Zven said that he told TSM Parth he doesn't feel good in TSM, he is homesick, tired of NA soloq, feel guilty for TSM fail in 2018 and that he would like to leave with Mithy after summer playoffs 2018.

After some days he got told that they couldn't find fitting Botlaner so he have to stay and they used import slot to get Brokenblade because coaches wanted to get rid of Hauntzer.

He said he really wanted to be in Origen.

Also he talks about situation between Grig and Akaadian.

TLDR is that Grig was as good as Akaadian, but got wrists issues so he couldn't play. After spring split Zven though that Grig wasn't that good anymore and they should focus on playing with Akaadian only in Summer, but TSM wanted to give Grig 'fair chance' to prove himself so they started to split scrim time which caused both of them to play worse and destroyed support-jungle synergy.

A list of the problems of League's new website

    Posted: 22 Jan 2020 08:23 AM PST

    Hey everyone!

Yesterday, we got a new website for League, for the news and the game info. It looks nice and it's definitely better to have this than what it replaced, which was "starting" to show its age. But it seems like a few things were either overlooked by the QA, or not fixed by the release. So here's my contribution to help improving it. Don't expect to see too crazy things, thankfully, the site isn't broken (heh, aside from the news, let's say), I just want to point out what's wrong in a more or less complete manner.

(The order of the things listed is mostly by order of browsing, "mostly" as I pushed some things down for being minor.)

    1) News

    A) General

To preface this, commenting on the articles is apparently no longer possible. Not necessarily a problem judging by the quality of the comment sections (and that's why I didn't "list" this), but I had to mention it. It also means that all previous comment sections are now inaccessible.

1.A.a) Links to the news are broken. Go in the client, and click on any news that should link to the website itself (not to Youtube, LoL Esports, or Nexus). This will take you to… the list of news. Oh, and, can you find the news I clicked on, about the "update on the downtime of the 19th and…" on the website? Me neither.

1.A.b) There is no way to access old news in a reasonable time. The only thing we can use to view older news is the "Load more" button, which will load the next 6/12 news (6 anywhere besides the "latest news" page). No search function, no clicking on page 5, 10, etc (which is what the old website gave). So if you want to see something from 6 months ago, spam away on that Load more button.

1.A.c) We can no longer see the date of an article. All we can have is "x days / months / years ago" which is fine when we're counting in days, but we should be able to know whether an article came out in February 2018 or in December 2018. The previous website had the same problem, but you could hover on the dating of any comment ("x days / months / years ago") and it'd show you the exact date and hour the comment was posted at, letting you know when the article was uploaded. No more comments means that this is no longer an option. An easy fix would be to let us hover over the "x [time] ago" to show the article's date. Screenshot

    B) News > Specific category

Most news are missing. Let me show you some examples.

1.B.a) Game updates: I clicked on "Load more" once. Seems like almost everything from November-December is missing. Screenshot – as an example, can you find the patch notes 9.23, 9.24a and 9.24b? That includes the preseason patch, which is a pretty big one to have.

1.B.b) Lore: Didn't even have to click "Load more" to find missing things. Issues 1/2 from the Zed comic were simply forgotten. Screenshot

1.B.c) Esports: Only 6 news available, no "Load more", as if nothing happened before September 2019. The announcement of the Worlds winner isn't even there, either. Screenshot

1.B.d) Game updates > Champion spotlight: See for yourselves. Only two articles, and Qiyana, 3 months ago? She came out in July, not in September.

    C) News > Other languages

1.C.a) There's that article, "/Dev: Matchmaking real talk". It's two years old. Naturally, it doesn't appear in the front page of the news, because, well, it's old.

That's… in English. In every other language, you'll see it on the front page. French example. But it doesn't stop there! Let's click on it, and see what it reads. The date on the bottom left – "Le mois prochain" means "Next month". The article came out in February 2018, so, yes, February indeed, but… seems like they forgot that not all years were the same. Same thing in all other languages. And actually… let's stop on [the German page](Thttps://euw.leagueoflegends.com/de-de/news/dev/dev-matchmaking-real-talk/). The authors. Draggles is listed twice in the list of authors, but only in German and in no other language!

    2) Riot Games tab

2.a) Clicking on the TFT or Wild Rift tabs will put the new tab in your browser's language, instead of the default language of the page you were on. The other way around, clicking on the Legends of Runeterra or League of Legends tabs will put the new tab in English, instead of the language you had on the previous page. Video

2.b) "TFT is coming to mobile" simply links to the TFT page, that you can find two cases away. "LoR open beta starts January 24" links to the LoR page, that you can also find four cases away. Both of them could link to an announcement/page about what their title is about.

    3) Champions

3.a) Certain abilities are missing. Diana's Moonfall is one example, and I'm not going to try to make a list, not for free at least. Same with skins, Fiddlesticks is missing the splash art of his Praetorian skin. Mordekaiser also lacks his second passive (which would belong here given what detail was put on the other abilities).

3.b) Even up to old VFX updates are missing. The most recent VFX update that you'll find reflected on the abilities' videos is Jarvan's. He got his visual update in September 2018, and Veigar, who got his alongside him, doesn't have his updated VFX on the website. It's almost a year and a half old.

    3.c) Sett doesn't exist.

3.d) Side note: All numbers were removed from the champion pages (to instead link to other sites, but not to the wiki which is the most complete/accurate one you'll find), as the alternative solution to fixing all the wrong values in the data and wrong pointers to it (supposedly).

    4) Game info / How to play

4.a) Clear the path: Awkward wording in the inhibitors' description – "When destroyed, super minions will spawn in that lane for several minutes. Afterward, the Inhibitor will respawn and Super Minions will stop spawning." That's three uses of "spawn" within two sentences, "the Inhibitor will reappear" or anything of the sort would feel better to read. Screenshot

4.b) Unlock your abilities: Alignment of the Abilities / Spells / Items bar. The bar next to the yellow dot should not do this or that, let alone that where "Items" appears completely away from the circle itself.

    5) Landing page

5.a) Game modes / Multiple ways to play: Summoner's Rift: Missing the uppercase N to Nexus. "Clear your lane, dive into epic 5v5 team fights, and destroy the enemy nexus before they destroy yours." Screenshot
This should have gone first by browsing order, but... I think you can see why it didn't go there.

The Patch notes tab redirects to the Game Updates subsection of the news, so I've already covered that, and the rest isn't new. Boards, support, Nexus, etc, these weren't touched by the new things, and I'm too scared to try and list the problems of the Boards.

That's it! As I said, not much major, aside from the news. My first experience with this website was clicking on the patch notes on Reddit, and seeing that I was redirected to the main page of the news instead of to the new I clicked on. So I do understand there being deadlines to meet and forcing the devs to not fix some sideline issues before releasing the product. Tat, however, isn't a "sideline issue", it's the main thing that the news are supposed to do. Displaying news, and letting you access them. Which it does neither of.

Note that what I did there was the first bit of work that I would do as a QA intern whenever working on a new product. Clicking on everything, seeing what's wrong everywhere, and writing it down. It wasn't the combined discoveries of all the playerbase which will, obviously, find far more things than any tester can find internally. So I'm kinda surprised that I could do that on a non-beta, public product, and find all these things.

The thing does look cool and all though, so all I'm hoping for is that Riot builds upon it, clears up the problems, and improves it from there.

Thanks for reading or for scrolling this far!

Lore Power Level Analysis: Sett, The Boss

    Posted: 22 Jan 2020 12:10 PM PST

Every time these things get delayed. What's up ladies and gentlemen, my name is Hyper10sion, AKA the lore power levels guy, here with the Boss, Sett. I've been putting this one off due to several irl issues, but it is finally here.
Everyone knows how this is going to go at this point. I am going to analyze Sett in five categories: Makeup, Physical Abilities, Magical Abilities, Weaknesses, and Feats. I will then place him into one of my five tiers (which can be found at the bottom of this post), explaining the placement as well, while covering any other updates to the tier list that didn't merit an entire assessment.
Also before we get started I will put all of my sources here. Bio Big Head, Bad News

    Sett, The Boss

Makeup/Background: Sett is a half-half human and half-vastayan hybrid from Ionia. He learned to fight after his Noxian father left during his childhood, and took quickly to methods of violence. He made his way to the fighting pits, where he would quickly climb the ranks, hoping one day to see his father on the other side of the ring. He soon took over the pits by force, becoming the Boss. Now he runs the pits, occasionally having to remind others why he is the one in charge.

Physical Abilities: Sett is more than just a Jojo reference. His strength was put on display in the fighting pits, able to overpower far more experienced fighters through sheer brutality. He is strong enough to easily beat other hardened gladiators to death with his punches. He wears a pair of knuckle dusters just so the punches don't burst the skin on his knuckles from their force. He is durable enough to catch a lethal whip blade mid fight and not really feel any pain. There is a catch to this though, as whip blades in history were notoriously ineffective compared to other weapons, really only resulting in kills when impacting the neck, where the blood vessels are extremely close to the skin. This is in contrast to the hand, one of the more thick-skinned areas of the body. Considering a leather glove for extra padding, the blade catching feat is much less impressive than on first glance.

Magical Abilities: So this is where the assessment gets…..sketchy. There is no conclusive evidence that Sett uses any magical powers, or even has magical durability. Even his in-game kit, which is now canon for the abilities of each champion, doesn't exactly display any magical feats. Even with his half-vastayan heritage, there is no evidence he uses or has access to magic. Without absolute proof that he has any powers, I can't attribute any to him.

Weaknesses: Sett seems to have all the weaknesses of a regular mortal. There isn't much more to it than that.

Feats: Sett has caught a whip blade mid-flight, and has defeated countless opponents of superior experience through raw strength and force.

    Summary:

This sucks. It really does. Sett is the second champion in a row I cannot attribute any superhuman feats or magical powers to. His feats sound impressive in concept, but upon closer inspection they don't compare to other feats of strength or durability even in the Mortal Tier. This is why I unfortunately have to relegate The Boss to the lowest tier.
    Tier: Mortal Tier (Warrior Subclass)

This is going to be a really fun comment section. I apologize for the tardiness of this list, but talk to me in the comments. Did I place Sett correctly or no?
    Here is the updated Tiermaker
And here are the rest of the tiers for this cycle of lore: Cosmic, Transcended, Harbinger, Magus, and Mortal
And here are is my previous assessment for this cycle.
