Posted: 13 Jan 2020 08:20 AM PST Our job as bush people is to beat up innocent animals and occasionally make fights unfair for the other team. We are not your personal on-demand "win this lane on my behalf" valet service to carry your lp to your elo of choice. We cannot guarantee your lane wins with a single gank, nor can we suddenly turn the tide in your favor when you've handed the Katarina 1,000 free gold and have yet to even consider a null magic mantle. We are not designed to be able to perfectly smitesteal a 4 man bot lane on drake on command, and we are not capable of warding more than twice every few minutes. If you die solo in lane multiple times, you not only have made it frustratingly difficult to try and gank your lane, but the problem you just created is now going to show up in our bushes poking our flying lizards. And we will have to somehow make due with what we have. You are responsible for your own lane. Your death is not the fault of the dog on the other side of the map eating several live chickens. Missing the old "honor the enemy" option Posted: 13 Jan 2020 02:40 AM PST It has been a while since the new honor system was implemented, but from time to time, when I see a player on the enemy team, who plays exceptionally well giving it all without being disrespectful about it, or trying to keep his team together even though they are losing the game and the morale, I remember I used to honor them after the mach. I really miss that, it was a good way to recognize sportsmanship through the barrier of "our team vs their team", and I have no clue why it is not an option anymore... Edit: I find "because it was used for shaming the worst on the enemy team" answer lacking, because you can just solve that with not giving out different badges for different honors, like now, it is not stated which category from the possible 3 you have the most Edit 2: A good counterargnument came up in some posts, that the honor system is supposed to be rewarding attitude, not how well you play, and you have no information on how the enemy player interacts with his team. In theory it is true, I have to agree. I'm incredibly disappointed that Twitch isn't getting a Lunar Revel skin this year, and I feel it hasn't been talked about as much as it should be. Posted: 13 Jan 2020 09:23 AM PST I like Mecha Kingdoms and all, but this skin is probably the only opportunity Twitch will ever have at a lunar revel skin—we'd have to wait 12 years for another chance. I know Riot said they were going to give him a skin this year, but unless it's like a legendary or something I can only ask why it couldn't wait for a later time instead of replacing a limited time unique skin. I don't know, but I've felt incredibly cheated by this and I've seen little to no backlash or response about it (most of the complaints have been about Sugar Rush replacing Snowdown last year). It honestly surprised me, and I can't help but think that it wouldn't be turning out like this if Twitch was a more popular champion. I was playing some flex games today, and I got the same guy in several games which performed really under the average of what you would expect. I did check his game history because it was pretty weird and he only play ARAMs. In the last after-game lobby I told him he should play some normal games before getting into ranked, no flaming, just two sentences (I didn't say a word in game as well). ​ The answer was that I should suck it up, bad luck, because this is a five players game and he was just doing the missions. I didn't know there is a mission specifically about rankeds and when I checked it, this didn't seem right. This type of mission encourages players to play game types they don't like while destroying the game of the other nine. Why wasn't the formula of "Do this OR Do this" used here ? (And the first day of the season?) ​ Just as a side topic, I'm also encountering every ELO in my games (ELO in season 9): Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond. The season started less than a week ago, but the rank 1 player on the Korean server already has 758 LP, with an 84% winrate on Taliyah bot lane Posted: 13 Jan 2020 12:36 PM PST Season 10 started less than a week ago, but SPG DalkA already has 758 LP in Master tier on the Korean server, which is currently rank 1. This is a link to his op.gg profile. According to his wiki page, DalkA is the coach for the Korean team Spear Gaming (SPG), which was one of the teams competing in KeSPA Cup 2019. I found this remarkable because his most played pick is Taliyah bot lane, by far. He has been spamming this pick: either solo, or duo bot with Destiny ( wiki | op.gg ) and SPG Asper ( wiki | op.gg ). According to the wiki, Asper is the support on the team that DalkA coaches, so this makes sense. DalkA has an 84% winrate over 31 games (and a 90% winrate in his last 20 games) on Taliyah bot lane. We saw Griffin play Taliyah + Pantheon bot lane in the LCK Spring Finals 2019, so we've already seen some Taliyah bot lane in competitive play. I think this is clear evidence that it's also good in solo queue. It seems that Taliyah is just an all-around excellent bot laner.
